My mappings are weird cuz I'm using a ps4 layout on an xbox overlay whilst using a switch controller. The button inputs are approximates for ps4/5 so follow your individual button guides for exact inputs. The only mistaken input is the left bumper for the slinger burst combo. You use the left trigger as shown, not the bumper as stated.

Hey. My tip for better understanding for new players. Try to show exact move you are talking about on the screen at the same time and also summarize combo with showing off with talking about buttons you need to press.

I was debating with using the default ui. At the time, i though it looked really clunky. The input set up does look cleaner imo, but i should have swapped the controller ui to ps4 since that was the actual set up i was using.

are you going to be doing the meta thread for CB when wilds comes out?

Ill do a progression vid and then a meta video. ill review the differences with previous games. For wilds, ill make a meta comp to accompany the videos.

Do u have any tips for cb against those very agile iceborne monsters (narga, rajang, barioth, etc)

For Narga, use saeds whenever it finishes a combo. Typically after the second hit, it pauses. Aim for the wings if you are using thunder/ element phial and for a free trip per wing break. Barioth is a worse version of narga, but the idea is similar. Learn its pauses and pop an saed. Through its tornadoes, frost breaths and jumps. Break the thorns to trip it. I havent gotten to worldborne rajang yet cuz ive been farming kulve tarroth after making the progression guide for iceborne, but its a notoriously 'bad' matchup for charge blade before sunbreak/ready stance.

Is it not just more damage to shield bash in between double slashes instead of doing the hop?

Yes and no. Shield thrust is primarily used to combo straight into saed, so you can charge slash -> shield thrust -> saed. The charge slash -> shield thrust -> charge slash has a bit of an awkard angle that gets harder to control against faster mons, so the side hop combo increases your overall control. It burns 2 units of sharpness cuz it counts as 2 hits vs side hop's 0. (Which does matter until you get sharpness maintenance).

You need at least 1 phial. During the saed wind up, hit the left trigger.
