All that dirt in fork seal area is why I ended up ditching the fork gators completely and going with the fork socks (seal savers) instead. The gators seem to just suck in dirt and hold it on top of the seals which leads to leaking. I used a seal cleaning tool to clean out the fork seals and stop the leaks, then installed the seal savers. Cool great video, and fun to watch you get this bike built up, looks great!

The front brake line goes on the inside of the fork

I'm surprised with your use of a straight metal flat head screwdriver to pry apart the triple clamps. Was there any damage from that? Would using a wooden stake have been better?

You really don't have to apply much force at all so no damage is done.

Hi what is the brand skid plate you have on your Xr?

I’m thinking about taking the boots off my crf250f, just browsing KZread to see if it will cause any massive problems except for getting dirt and stones in the tubes

Sloan476 same I think they look ugly on my kx. Have you figured out if they cause problems when they are off?

I found Daystar fork boots but don't know which ones fit, do you have an item number?

Are fork boots mandatory? I think they look ugly on my kx80. I want to remove them but do they need to be on, or can I take them off and it will still work fine?

The bike will work fine without them. There just a cover to make sure that no dirt and rock get in them. There will be no problem if you take them off.

are you going to be replacing the fairings?
