Not a fan of the original chanel no5 and perfume version but the premiere version is so beautiful!! I like it more than the coco mademoiselle one!

I use Eau premiere after shower then get dressed and then carry the L’eau with me and use that to refresh/ re-spray in the middle of the day. Love it!

That's actually a great idea! Would love to know how would you differentiate eau premiere from L'eau? I've tried L'eau n loved it. It has the Chanel no. 5 soapy, baby powder DNA but is a much toned down version. Never got to smell Eau premiere though.

N 5 parfum knocks me off each time with its beauty... never expected to like it but I need to always have it

The L’Eau is amazing and I tried it at the same time as the EDP. It vanishes way way faster, so it was a no go for me. Great video!

I find L'Eau bland, but the parfum and EdP are stunning. That said, I probably wear Eau Premiere more than any other version. If I had to pick a favorite No. 5, I'd pick that one. It's just perfect. Retro but fresh, and with a wonderfully soft drydown that doesn't read as basic or cheap. I love the creamy vetiver/musk base that just melds with the skin. It's an incredibly well-composed fragrance, and one that successfully updates a classic without veering too far into "modern" territory like L'Eau does, in my opinion.

Thank you for the examination! I got a no.5 parfum for Christmas but was expecting the 5 spray, glad he got me the original 1921 scent. Tho I do think I want the number 5 eau de parfum just cuz lol but the premiere sounds great to! Guess I have to go to Macy's and smell them all now 😅

Thanks for your great review of all the fives. I find L'Eau to have a more musky drydown than the others, it's a very clean musk, but distinct from the other No. 5 versions. Eau Premiere is my fave, but I am thinking about getting a 100 ml EDT.

The No. 5 body cream is really beautiful. Sometimes I wear just it and a tiny spray of the hair mist. It gives you the same scent as the EDP, but without the tendency to overpower others. The cream lasts a very long time on my skin, but it’s much more confined to your own personal space than the EDP, or even the EDT in the case of the No 5.

I’m only 30 and I’d heard stories from my mum that my Nan used to wear no5 when my mum was younger and it wasn’t very well liked because it was really heavy and strong. So I was really surprised when I tried it yesterday that I liked it. In fact I liked it so much that I purchased the original no5 the l’eau no5 and the no5 eau premiere along with chanel coco.

My late grandma had no.5 edt, the old formulation....it was a beast- last all day on skin in cold temperature or 10 hours on skin in warm temperature. I think 🤔 the new formulations are weaker, and lose the essence that make no.5 so iconic.

@@moustachio334 i mean i live in southeast asia...so i might use that light water down white floral perfumes sometimes when weather fudgin hot so I have no leg to diss those millennials. Many those classics becoming so tame..... literally changing perfumes that are tigress beast tame that into domestic kitten. They even hate assertive scents. They made so much flacons version.... which meh, destroyed the original by "reformulation".

But which one do you prefer?

The 150 ml eau premiere in the tall bottle was discontinued with the reformulations in 2005. In regular no5 shaped bottles now. 50/100 mls.

I have the 150 ml tall bottle, but it’s kind of turned. I so wish I had kept the box and kept it in the fridge. I just bought a new 100 ml bottle about a week ago, but didn’t open it yet. Definitely keeping the box for this one….

EDP/EDT has nothing to do with strength and longevity when it comes to Chanel fragrances..... They have different notes. The EDT is much more woody heavy than the floral EDP.

Exactly. I own the edp and edt. Edt lasts longer on me. Its on my clothes for more than 10 days and i love it.. I guess she hasn't used these as she doesn't show the product .

About a year ago, I got my first No 5 and amongst different versions, I immediately knew L'eau is my favorite. Hearing your explanation about how L'eau version is targeted to Millennials and being one myself, I guess their repackaging works!

For me the EDT is way to soft(anyone else?) Very pleasant skin scent but smells like other strong fragrances next day smell on your skin, after 10 minutes lol for me the Eau Premiere is probably the most universal, also ‘L’Eau’ because they are more powdery and sweet while still keeping the whole No.5 DNA. For the classic scent though I’d go for the EDP(lasts longer), more bang for your buck lol

The Parfum is magical! The edp is probably more popular but I think that’s just because they don’t know about the Parfum or don’t want to use splash bottles

eau premiere the 2007 style tall bottle is very fresh sweet , smells like love heart sweets a bit ! also if you cant get it as discomtinued go for the newer rectangle bottle 2015 of eau premiere its a touch more like the mother perfume than the eau premiere 2007 , but still sweeter and fresher than the original no 5 perfume by miles , also the lotion , soap and bath products are amazing. The original pure parfum is not as sweet but has a wonderfull expensive lemony vibe to it , musky and lovely, the edp is more syrupy and a touch dark or night time more. Newcomers id advice eau premiere or leau but leau dont last on skin at all but summery. you cant go wrong with the eau premiere but original 1930s versions edt may be more for someone who loves no 5 as they are powdery musky but a bit dated prehaps for some ( not me ive a bottle of all of them and tons of soap and scented powder etc i love it ) good luck hun !

PLEASE HELP! I sniffed a Chanel perfume several years ago and fell in love! I was unable to purchase that day and when I was finally able to buy it, I forgot which one it was. I was CERTAIN it was No. 5 but I smelled it and it smelled like an “old woman” haha. The one I fell in love with was warm and creamy and almost like fresh laundry from the dryer where I couldn’t bring my nose away from it and wanted to just smell it constantly lol! I want to find it again so bad but I can’t get samples anywhere and I don’t want (nor can I afford) to pay for a full bottle of something that’s not it. Please help me!!
