I was around five year’s old when I first experienced this perfume. I sat at my mother’s vanity and opened her Number 5, what a beautiful scent - from that moment on, it has been my signature fragrance. I am now 65.5 years old and I’m not a grandmother!!! 😆

Timeless fragrance that will NEVER be out of style

I love how you described it. So on point. It does smell like old money wealth. Sophisticated and luxurious.

Well .. I am most definitely on team CHANEL Number 5, I simply do NOT understand why it is disliked by some! I cannot live without this masterpiece. I adore the Sandalwood note in the EDT version, which is the closest to the original formulation; love EDP, such a 90’s formulation. The extrait is exquisite and stays close to skin. L’eau and Eau première are a great and « lighter » introduction / version for those discovering Number 5. Thank you Alice for once again a lovely review! 😊

It was both my mother's and grandmother's special occasion perfume, and now I love it too. It's a hug in a bottle to me. My current favorite is the EDT. Love all the visuals in the video, Alice. You really bring the experience of No5 to life! 💕

I cannot live without No5 either ….my first fragrance at 18 ….now aged 56 I wouldn’t be without it ….also in the Summer No5 L’eau is my daytime go to simply adore all the No5s ….plus the gorgeous Body crème ..I have 80 fragrances..but No5 is my signature I could happily smell like this for the rest of my life.

The body cream is so gorgeous……my favorite part of the day showering with Chanel 5 applying the cream and then a spray of Chanel 5. A silk pyjama and ordering foods… my night dream

It is also my favorite perfume. To me it is an epitome of elegance and sophistication . Definitely evening grown up scent. For the daytime everyday I use N5 all over spray, it’s much lighter. ❤

great modernize version of chanel 5. I do prefer chanel 5 perfume version because it suits more my style and my personality but great choice!

Beautiful video. I love Chanel No. 5 EDP. I have had the Parfum and I have the EDT. My favorite is the EDP. To my nose, it smells fresher and cleaner, but so floralciously gorgeous. Most people I hear prefer the EDT and call it fresher, but for me it is not. I love it too, but the EDP of No. 5 is No, 1!

I love it. And I also think it is a casual scent. After all there is no special occasion to smell fresh and clean with character.

I buy chanel #5 for my girl friend because the same reason you did I can't stand strong perfumes I'm kind of allergic to them they give me headaches the Chanel Number 5 has this beautiful scent powdery scent to it that's just light and beautiful. Thanks for the review❤

I love the No.5. Sometimes I spray it on myself when I go to a perfumery. Oooh that ylang.. I was dreaming about to buy it one day for me. But everyone around me hates it where I live, they say its grandma... I'm already 38 so very soon I should treat myself and choke out some tasteless people with it😅

I love edt and edp but not really l’eau ;). I just do not like too sweet perfumes and using no. 5 I feel put together. It is fantastic, elegant, clean, feminine - it is everything I expect. Just masterpiece ❤. Nowdays perfumeas are too loud, too „look at me”, too much. Not my style 🤔.

Unlike other perfume reviewers who claim to love this masterpiece I know you are telling the truth. How? That bottle is nigh empty! Shes beautiful isnt she? Smells so clean and feminine. Almost like a new born baby to me. There is NOTHING offensive about her. Some folks need their noses examined! 😂

I love Chanel N 5 and have it in all concentrations.

I was given No 5 as a 16th birthday present and I’ve worn it ever since. I love and have every incarnation apart from L’Eau. Not a fan. It’s just the best scent for me.

I love and use Chanel no. 5 EDT, EDP, Eau Premiere, no. 19, 19 Poudre, Coco and Coco noir. I find no. 19 Poudre is the classiest of them all, however I am afraid to open my still sealed bottle of no. 5 pure parfum that has been sitting in my closet for about a year now. I am afraid I might use it too fast after hearing how beautiful and different it is from EDT and EDP.

I love Chanel No. 5 but during the summer months I use Chanel Eau Première.

I love Chanel No 5 and have a version from the 1980s which I can’t believe still smells halfway decent. But what I did find was a perfumer called Pascal Moribito. He produces a perfume, called Or Noir. I got them side by side and it is unbelievable. It is almost the exact copy of No 5. I would not comment if it was not true. please check it out. He is a perfumer right there in Paris. Which is where I sent for it. Thanks for your reviews.

My skin reacts better with L' eau version. In a sea of sweet gourmand florals stand out with a classic and timeless fragrance that everyone recognizes yet this fragrance as we all know is not for everyone. This is my thought when it comes to Chanel No5 and its different versions.

I have probably 25 bottles of no5 In many different forms and formulations. This fragrance does not work for Everyone and thank god for that. There’s a certain personality who is reserved and strong who this is for.

Fragrance is so personal. I live for Chanel but I wear Chance! #5 smells like my "grandma's chest of drawers"-yuk. But obviously is an individual taste.

When I wear it I feel that I carry in my shoulders a cat (civet) and somehow it gives me power. Now reaching the end of the bottle I am so confused what can replace it. But always at the end I buy it again ...as a lover obsessed that you want to leave but you are unable.... 😂

I love n 5 but I wouldn't wear it because it's too feminine for me (maybe it's my association of it with mom, etc) and because aldehydes tend to make my nose burn. I think it smells like money because it's sophisticated and assertive at the same time. It's clean then it's animalic, its fresh and then it's indolic, it's a lot of opposites that create a unique experience. Now I'm off to write a letter to Polge to make a non-aldehydic N 5 🤔😁

I've been smelling it in stores and for me it seems rather strong. I begin coughing and can't seem to find anything I like about this fragrance. To me all Chanel perfume smell cologne like. Which is what gives me headache

I'm not willing to pay more to layer with a body cream when I can buy other brands like Dior or YSL that do last for the same price. Unfortunately I seem to have the same issue with all the Chanels I've tried so I just don't buy unless I can get a really good deal on sell/swap groups.

It’s smells like baby powder with hint of florals… idk but it’s not that great.

Only one I can wear not making me sick is Mademoiselle

For me its just a smell of grandmama. And its not luxurious not elegant not clean and not like money. I never want to smell like Chanel no 5. Mine is Mademoiselle Chanel. Its For all ages, sophisticated and true elegance.

I also wear mademoiselle chanel. It's grand mama becausr it is the cliché and it is "what people believe". I prefer to smell grandma chanel 5 than those tacky horrible perfumes like Libre. Just disgusting... the street

@@Aliceinparisofficial No. My great-grandmama and grandmama use(d) Chanel no.5, so its their smell. Its not the smell of a relative young and urban Lady. Elegance should have always traditions. But you got to mix and match it to the modern times. Chanel no.5 is what it is. You can't adjust it. I don't feel young and beautiful with this parfum. Its a nice remembrance but not my scent. Would you wear an original Chanel costume from 50s/60s, with matching hat and perls and shoes as a normal outfit? :-)

Its okay it is a very strong unique scent. I absolutely abject Libre by YSL that every woman is wearing... it is cheap and tacky...so just tastes are different
