This man literally caught a wild lizard and used it as a model for his project. This guy is one hell of a man, I'd be honored to learn from someone like him.

lizards are easy. what impressed me was he got it to hang out while he used a freaking dremel.. and changed heads on it.... i mean... that lizard wasnt worried about him at all lol
I have no words. You were carving with an electric tool next to a wild lizard and the animal stayed calm. I guess I am not the only one that found this carving relaxing.
you literally caught a wild lizard and used it as a reference while you carved it.......... my mind is blown! Amazing talent and art

This is beautiful and I love the side quest for the fence swift! I can't believe he just chilled with you modeling! Not just a master craftsman but a lizard whisperer too!
I can see myself watching this early on a saturday morning. This needs to be a PBS show!!

When I use power tools I have problems with the wood fuzzing up. How do you prevent it?.

My man is an artist, bushcrafter, illustrator, overall badass AND apparently the manliest Disney princess in the world, how in the world he made a lizard pose for him in his hand is beyond me. Also Pearl is the most precious thing, outstanding work.
My 7 year old and I are watching this and we both called you a wood wizard! I just got a rotary tool... I could have never imagined this.... This is so amazing! Just wow

Ever since I seen one of your snake walking stick videos I watch a lot of your creations. My 6 year old watches with me. When people ask him what he wants to do when he gets older he says he wants to be a Carver. Your work is very inspirational. Thank you for sharing your videos.

When you started burning the scales in I thought that was a super cool touch.
I kept expecting the lizard to move, even while you were still painting its eye! It saddens me that I probably won't ever be able to afford one of your sticks, but at least I have your videos.❤

Ever thought of making a walking stick with a raven on it. Thats the name the Eskimos gave me in Alaska where i lived, its Tulugaq in there language.

So realistic.... there's no way I would keep one of those in my house... But the art of it is just mindblowing...
Love the use of UV setting resin on the eyes it really makes them that more realistic

Yet another beautiful museum quality work of art. Watching you create these sticks is like watching Leonardo da Vinci paintt the Sistene Chapel. Its a privilege to see a true artist at work.
Absolutely Beautiful work! I like how the wild lizard sits still as if to say; yes please, immortalize me in wood. I had a male Boxer. He would lie down on his dog bed, and I would tuck him in with his blanket and that's how he slept all night. I fully understand Pearl wanting her blanket. :) Cheers

Dude are you like a lizard whisperer?? They was so calm in your hand it’s crazy!
Oh my gosh! This honestly moved me to tears, good sir. You put SO much love and soul into work of art. You can truly feel the spirit in your work. I have a blue belly fence lizard that I hatched from an egg 2 years ago and hes been a pampered baby ever since. I honestly think fence lizards are one of the best little companions.
Now that is craftsmanship... I would like to learn to carve one of these days
I miss living in San Diego. We had blue bellie's every where and they just come and chill on the porch while I was out there.

The drop of UV resin on the eyeball instantly brings the subject to life. I love these videos.

Watching these animals come to life under your tools was astonishing. I thought the clay model of the lizard was already a masterpiece and couldn't possibly be reproduced in wood, let alone improved upon. But then you did. Amazing work.

Hey Pearl: I sure love watching u...just pure talent and enjoyment...maybe one day I’ll get out ur way and can bring tea and cookies! Take care my friend and bless u all...thank u again...question: what Dremel do u suggest for my wood working projects. I’ve taken up the lathe...we have mostly Chameleons, Skinks, and a blue type lizard and Eastern Diamond back rattlers, cotton mouths and my favorite a copperhead which bit me! 6 mo. Of agony! Be careful up there. We are retiring and looking to move ur way...so beautiful. Gonna build a small cabin with wood stove for the cabin and small pot-belly for my wood-shop...gonna also have a green-hse to start and grow my Veggies 🌶what mastery! U are wonderful...that looks so real!

Can we appreciate how he was able to charm a lizard into modeling on his hand inches away from a loud high speed power tool?
This is straight up druidcraft, that lizard calmly rested on your hand while you were carving, amazing!
The only thing you lack is the ability to give them life. Other than that, perfect!

Honestly I was wanting to carve a walking stick similar to this and then saw this, but the level of craftsmanship is so off the charts here that it makes me want to give up before I get started, especially being a perfectionist, knowing this is what I would want to do, but I am immediately feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks for your kind comment! Don't give up. I feel overwhelmed every time I start a new subject. I spend days studying before I start to carve, and I'm almost never completely satisfied with end results, but I keep trying to improve on every new project.
