Watching these animals come to life under your tools was astonishing. I thought the clay model of the lizard was already a masterpiece and couldn't possibly be reproduced in wood, let alone improved upon. But then you did. Amazing work.

Hey Pearl: I sure love watching u...just pure talent and enjoyment...maybe one day I’ll get out ur way and can bring tea and cookies! Take care my friend and bless u all...thank u again...question: what Dremel do u suggest for my wood working projects. I’ve taken up the lathe...we have mostly Chameleons, Skinks, and a blue type lizard and Eastern Diamond back rattlers, cotton mouths and my favorite a copperhead which bit me! 6 mo. Of agony! Be careful up there. We are retiring and looking to move ur way...so beautiful. Gonna build a small cabin with wood stove for the cabin and small pot-belly for my wood-shop...gonna also have a green-hse to start and grow my Veggies 🌶what mastery! U are wonderful...that looks so real!

Thank you, Mike! Hope you can get out here someday! I would just start with the tools that I could afford and work up from there. I get my carving handpieces from treelineusa.com You can give them a call and PJ will be glad to suggest the best thing for you. Be sure and tell them Mike sent you!

Can we appreciate how he was able to charm a lizard into modeling on his hand inches away from a loud high speed power tool?

This is straight up druidcraft, that lizard calmly rested on your hand while you were carving, amazing!

Honestly I was wanting to carve a walking stick similar to this and then saw this, but the level of craftsmanship is so off the charts here that it makes me want to give up before I get started, especially being a perfectionist, knowing this is what I would want to do, but I am immediately feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks for your kind comment! Don't give up. I feel overwhelmed every time I start a new subject. I spend days studying before I start to carve, and I'm almost never completely satisfied with end results, but I keep trying to improve on every new project.
