Unbelievable. Your best work I think, as far as I've seen. Have you thought about making something like a table lamp out of a sculpture this style? It might suit some of your more intricate carvings to give them a different practical use than being taken on walks in the elements.

Thank you very much, Ben! I appreciate your kind compliment! I've been thinking of other things like lamps to make. I think it's a great idea, but I haven't tried to yet. I learned a lot from this project, and I'm excited to do more experimenting with epoxy added to my artwork. It's gotten my imagination going!

@@StinnettSticks well this certainly broadens your horizon! That water effect is stunning. A lamp would be a fantastic idea.... especially a corner lamp in the fashion of your sticks. Honestly if I required I stick I don't think I could bring myself to use one of your sticks as a walking aid... it would be on display in the middle of my living room!

You're living the life buddy. Rocking chair, birds singing, peace and quiet, shade on a summer day, your Jack Russell, and a whittling project. What more could you ask for? Amazing work, absolutely amazing!

The music, your voice, the sounds & scenes of nature, along with sounds & scenes of carving.... very relaxing and brought a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Been watching Mike carve for a good few years now and what sticks out the most to me is his attention to detail. I do carving myself but I am in awe of this true champion of carvers.

UNBELIVABLE ART! So Realistic carving, looks like the animals are alive! Such skill! Love how you use wildlife for your arts. Love the water feature also, can't believed it worked! Awesome job painting, best I've ever seen for wood carving! Can't wait to start using power tools to carve with! You have inspired me so much!

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I was patiently waiting to see the final result after all the teasers of the sketches etc and have to say, definitely not disappointed in the wait, was so worth it. Wow sir, that is an amazing piece of art. I've often thought while watching your videos how much planning and design goes into these carvings to capture such realism. I then am even more amazed that some folks think the living and breathing creatures you depict are not designed and just evolved from nothing. I was going to make a joke and say “Now you’re just showing off!” - But it’s sometimes difficult to see humour in a short comment without tone of voice or facial expression. This is an amazing creation. You constantly impress and delight. The resin was inspired. The whole piece deserves to take pride of place wherever it ends up living. I could easily spend much longer looking at the finished sculpture.

Absolutely astonishing. You say it took you a year and three months to make it. So much dedication. I just bought my first rotary tool and pyrography set. Being a painter and sculptor I find your channel being the most inspirational wood carving channel out there. Thank you for sharing your life and make me dream that I am you!

He even makes the wood look more like wood amazing.

This is the first video I've seen of yours and all I've been doing is binging since. You have such a knack for the finer details and just when I think "there's no way this will turn out this good" your videos and work always manage to amaze me.
