Do you like Tire or Wood & Epoxy sculptures better?
@rasmis

Tire. I love trash being reused. Re the trouser situation: This is the exact reason why all of my clothing is 100 % cotton. Once I wore some fashionable jeans, containing elastane, and they melted to my thigh. Not nice.

On your last video I suggested that your sculptures were too perfect, too idyllic, impossibly flawless depictions of nature. Wow is this sculpture a departure from that. I absolutely love how this alligator looks. It's vivid, it's raw, it's unfiltered, exactly as nature can be. Great job mate.

You can paint the back of the staples while they’re still in the box all attached. That way when you shoot them in they’re already the right colour

In the bison video, he said he had tried that but since the staple gun shoots them out with such a high speed, that paint comes off. So he has to paint them at the end.

This is definitely a masterpiece.. I still can't fathom how you used tyres to give all the intricate shapes of the alligator's body contours.. freaking amazing.. 😱😱😱😱😱
*Absolutely blown away by your incredible talent and creativity! 🐊🎨 The hand-carved alligator sculpture looks absolutely lifelike and the use of stainless steel, foam, fiberglass, and recycled tires is not only innovative but also environmentally conscious. What an honor to contribute such a masterpiece to the PGA Zurich Classic. This famous gator is going to add a whole new level of charm to the fairways. Your dedication and skill shine through every detail of this sculpture. Amazing work! 👏👏👏*
Absolutely fascinating watching you create such an alternative work of art! Thanks for the step by step presentation!

The 1st thing he ever made with me was an alligator out of wood and rubber for me to drag around on a string. Still got it with the heart and I love you inscribed under his rubber tongue... Gotta say at first I was like oh my god yes! Tires as texture for the scales thats absolutely brilliant! But then you also covered the big scales on its back. That kind of overloaded the whole thing
I recently built a 3D Crocodile out of biodegradable pots and stir sticks for paint. Mostly it's solid but after watching your video I think I'll try fill her in with that spray foam to help solidify the body. Ty! Perfect timing for me and wow! What an amazing Aligator out of tires. congratulations your sculptures are really amazing! the most boring part must be touching up all the nails with black paint. Have you ever tried using black nails or doing a coating treatment to darken the staples before using them? if you find the right formula you could save a lot of time. anyway you're really great, your videos are a great source of inspiration!

You never fail to amaze us, Blake. I was wondering when an alligator was going to be the target of these foam/fiberglass/tire sculptures. The result is better than what i could have possibly imagined. While i'm not a fan of golf or its negative environmental impact on native ecosystems/biodiversity, i can still very much see just how much of an honor it was to have this commissioned by Zurich. What a spectacular feat. Truly cannot wait to see what you'll do next (as always). If i only had the money, i would love to commission you to sculpt me a piece of my original alien species. A distant dream to be, im sure but its still fun to imagine X)

Really? You’re bringing an environmental agenda into a comment section about a beautiful sculpture? Just so you know, golf courses provide significant natural areas that benefit people and wildlife in increasingly urbanized communities across North America and throughout the world (according to Audubon International).

@@Easy_Going__ Aah! i didn't mean any disrespect to the piece by it, im awfully sorry. Also i wasn't aware of there being much environmental benefits. That's on me. Most things i've read on/heard of tend to focus on the loss of biodiversity with how much of the land gets turned from untouched prarie (with wild flowers and herbs and shrubs with their own fauna of course) into regularly trimmed grass and the heavy use of pesticides. I was happy to read that they do try to be more eco friendly and provide for the wildlife that they allow to stick close-ish. Thank you for the enlightement :3
