Two minutes in: "I bet this guy has an adorable-ass dog." A few minutes later: "Damn right."
3:10 “I know there’s a snake in this piece of wood. I’ve just got to keep on carving until I find it.” Wonderful video as always.

I really love this talk through your process. Sometimes when a craftsman makes their pieces look so seamless and effortless, it's easy to forget or miss how much planning and time goes into just finding the form in the medium. Really insightful and interesting stuff. Great video, as always, Mike! Hope you and yours are well~

Thank you! I've been thinking that I needed to show a little more of the process and the difficulties that I come across. In the past I avoided showing the defects in the wood and my struggles. But I think it's more constructive to show that there is an enormous amount of planning that goes into the project, even before I begin to carve.

This is the coolest recommended video I’ve come across at 2 AM
I just started making little wood carvings out of scrap wood pieces. So far I made a polar bear, a toucan, and a hippo peaking it's head out the water. You inspire me so much sir. I can't wait for your next video. But until then, I've got many more of yours to watch.

This guy is insanely talented. I wish I had this skill. To be able to look at a chunk of wood, visualize the end result and then create something this incredible. Truly enjoyed this video. Thanks.
