How I Carved A Golden Eagle and Rattlesnake Walking Stick
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Mike Stinnett shows how he carved a new walking stick with a Golden Eagle, clutching a rattlesnake in its talons using various power tools and hand tools. This eagle topper is carved from Tupelo wood and is mounted on top of a Lodgepole Pine shaft.

@@StinnettSticks Here we see an incredibly talented creator using his intelligent mind to create in fine detail a work of art using his craftsmanship. Yet, people still think that there is no evidence for God, the original Intelligent Designer, who made this very talented craftsman in His own image so he could mimic his Creator in crafting such fine detailed work. *PSALM 14:1* _“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’.”_ ROMANS 1:19-20 _“…because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. This is my therapy now!
I thought of writing a long comment, but then I realized that I can say it all with one word: perfection.
So, i checked out many of your videos a couple years ago with a partner that was a carver. We LOOOVED your videos. She and i have since separated, but i started carving myself just this year. I was telling a friend about picking up carving and hiking and that i wanted to perhaps carve walking sticks and it instantly reminded me of you! So here i am!! You were a great influence on my partners work with carving and we love the adventure you take us through with your videos years ago. Now, I'm following you on my own adventure! Thank you for making these videos!!!! You're the best!
Just perfection Mike! I've never seen an eagle so well done, a simple thumbs up isn't enough reward for sharing your amazing talent 😊

I have watched your amazing talent for years now, and just when I think that you have made the best, you come up with another. I stopped watching for a short time so I can come in and watch them as a treat to myself. My GOD, you are an amazing artist! GOD bless you!
I enjoyed this video immensely! When I looked at the completed project, I nearly expected the beautiful brown eagle to spread its majestic wings, revealing the catch which it is proud to boast as it flies away with such ease you would suppose it had no weight at all, with the small snake wriggling with ambition to escape the firm grasp of the eagle’s sharp talons, all in vain though, as the eagle soars away in all its glorious beauty into the golden setting sun amid a cool clear blue late afternoon sky.
The more I watch your videos the more I am left speechless on how acurately you capture every single aspect of the animals and other carvings. I said it before and I will say it again and again. Your are truly blessed with your gift in this particular art form

At 10:24 while the camera rotates around the walking stick the eye of the eagle seems to almost blink as if the sculpture is coming alive. But it's just the sun reflecting off the gloss in its eye😳

I regret being such a latecomer to your channel but, thankfully, not too late. I have a lot of catching up to do, but am ready and very willing!
You sir are truly a great wood carver and very good painter as well. I, wood carve my self. And thought I was Purdy good till I ran up on,your. U tube. Video. But I still love carving even if I ain't the best. I make walking sticks too just not as elaborate as your work. I usually do a leaf carving. With acorns. Up and down the stick. I usually pick a bent or gnarly one but yet straight enough. To,walk with. Some times I. Do feathers. As I am part native American. I love the woods so I usually do different oak, leaves. People seem to like them and I,get a compliment every now and again which is nice. To,hear. As you .might know. Its very relaxing and rewarding I,also carve little shotguns and a couple rifles as I am a hunter. Too. Also like carving small working boots. Or moccasins. It doesn't take alot of time. To carve them. And they set up well on a shelf. The biggest thing I ever carved was a. River otter holding a fish in his hand. By the rivers edge but Its not as detail as your carvings. I saw the old boy on,the river while I was fishing too and thats how come to carve it,, I know we both love nature. And the mountians too I,live in,the eastern united states. In the Appalachians. Thank you. Your work. is inspiring. To all who, endeavour to wood carve take care and god bless ,you,,,,,
