I'm not a wood carver but I don't think the see a hunk of wood and visualize. I'm pretty they just plan before hand and look for a good hunk of wood they can use.

That is an absolute MASTERPIECE!!!! If I was a millionaire I would pay a million to own that. That is TRUE ART! Not some splash across a canvas. That is TALENT 100%! One of the most stunning things I have ever seen! ❤❤❤❤

A million people can paint a woman but cannot paint the Mona Lisa. A million people can make a cast or sculpture of a dragon, and not have it turn out like this. Continue buying art from target they have some cute little pieces.

How could you even program a cnc machine to do this? This duty is amazing!

Simply a masterpiece! The natural varied coloration of the wood gives life and character to this dragon in addition to the artist’s artistic and skillful carving.

I was always fascinated by ancient Asian mythology, to see it reincarnated from a tree trump makes me speechless and amazed at the same time.

This is one of the most incredible Dragons I've ever seen in any media. Absolutely amazing and beautiful!

I'm biased, due to being a Dragon, but that is one of the most remarkable handmade sculptures I've ever seen. There are many who claim to master craftsmen, but then there's a Grand Master!

Meticulously in every angle, truly admire this carving artist, he does the job with his heart and passion ❤. Excellent work, thank you.

I'll never understand how a sculptor can "see" a piece of art when it's just a chunk of wood - or stone. They truly have an inborn gift. Probably developed over several lifetimes.

What always amazes me, is this stuff was being done before modern power tools. Just imagine doing this with bronze tools, that had to be resharpened after only a few strokes. I can barely draw stick figures, but I had a grandfather that carved statues, busts, and other things for the Catholic Church. As a musician, who could play lead Pink Floyd I understand about taking a tool and creating something wonderous. Artists, are true thieves, we steal our Ideas from others; then try to create something of our own. Just imagine having a pair of these next to a roaring fireplace; truly a gateway to some underworld in a Sword, and Sorcery game. I can't afford one; so I want one. Bravo Dude!
