Where do you get you wood to carve Jennifer? I have watched Doug for years and have a few tools, but most of our native timbers are too hard.

@@PabloP169 I've seen Trend Timbers recommended. They deal with carvers, and list a few candidates such as Jelutong. Near Windsor.

The Moon's are absolutely brilliant Doug, only been carving for about 6 month's really look forward to your new video's.

I'm trying to master ( get the basic) faces) but do love these and wouldn't many across a child's crib or headboard be amazing. I'm trying to get good enough to add carving into a few pieces of furniture. Your mobile sounds like fun. You have became my favorite teacher Thanks Doug 👍 thumbs up as always 👍

These are great, i was given a box of flat 7/8” basswood plaque boards. I don’t chip carve so these little projects are a fun use for that wood.
