Both have different styles, love the difference but both inspire me in different ways. Keep going guys, nice to see you back together.
You guys are awesome, I must admit I watch Doug more just because I’m trying to learn carving with simple projects!
You guys are barking up the wrong tree!!! This show has everything!!!, music, coffee, coffee mugs, talking about the love of dogs, the wild wilderness, forest, and the bush. Finally we get into the nitty gritty of knife carving.... Then.... we are talking so much, so lets talk about food!!! Now, I'm hungry half way through this video, hitting the choc chip cookies. Thanks a bunch. Further, we go on a tangent about homeless people, and escapee's from a hospital, were did that come from? So nobody wants to talk to Alec, so he put's his head down and shrugs his shoulders, poor guy... Finally, we get back into the carving, which I thought originally that's what this show was about in the first place.. You guys are hilarious, the Dimond and Silk of carving... I really enjoyed this, made my day... Now what the heck were you talking about anyway!!!
Nice to see the guys back together! Thanks for sharing guys! Look forward to the next one!
Fun to see the band back together for the reunion concert! Surprised you guys didn't talk about using PEG to stabilise some of those bigger pieces....
Doug, how about renaming yours to “Carving in the Wild”? Good to see you guys again. Always enjoyable.
Good to see you guys together again! Remind us where we can get a Jenny mug!?
Good job settling the beef you two Your really growing up🥲
Man, Popeye cigarettes. That brings me back.
Is this thing on? Am I dreaming? Oh, it's the Coffee and Candy Show! Glad to see you guys laughing and having a good time. That was a real treat to see you guys back together. Friendship first.
This was a treat. You guys def have a big/little brother kinda thing going on. I heard you guys banter on the IAWC video recently and it brought a smile to my face. Ps. In your setting with two people, you should look at each other primarily, and only acknowledge the camera as a secondary (think fireside chat). This comes from my wife who has worked in tv production for many years.
Good to see you two carving and coffee sharing
Enjoyed the two of you bantering, hope Doug visits again soon.
Great to see you both together again! Thanks.
This was great. Good to see you together. 👍👍
great to see you guys together again. Enjoy your videos.
I'm glad to see Doug with you Alec. I missed his dry humor and dad jokes. My wish is for many years of you both bantering back and forth. Be well guys.
❤ thank you guys! Great one, covering also my second favourite topic.. Candy🥳
Very good show!! Thanks Alec. Loved the stories you guys shared. I recognize every candy Doug mentioned, and then some. We even use the term “bush”, must be Canadian. I thought his female bark carving had your influence in it. Keep them coming.
I didn't realize this channel existed! So glad I discovered it. Also, what's the link to the coffee mugs?
I loved black balls too and Doug that candy store you are talking about I think has closed recently.
Good to see you two banter again. How about the dark chocolate covered coffee beans. Loved those and squirrel caramels. among others. For pennies you could get a paper sack full of caandy.
Gooood afternoon from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great afternoon!

Glad to see someone else in central Florida enjoying the same content
Good to see you guys together again 😊
This was so cool!!! I miss the chemistry of Alec & Doug, but so glad you kept it going, Alec. I was a fan and subscriber of both your channels when I recently found the podcast and absolutely loved it. Then watched Doug’s live stream in January and was bummed when he said he left. I went back to the 1st episode and now binge watching - on episode #26 right now. Keep up the good work, and have Doug on as much as you can!!
Really enjoyed this get together, especially when the majority of the Conversation was on wood carving, types of wood, knives, and techniques. I hope you can do it again sometime.
What the What!!! Love seeing you guys together again
Few days ago I almost wrote "Why not ask Doug to come on as a guest!" so today was a right laugh!!!! Love watching you both. Hope this carries on from time to time :)
We're gettin the band back together!!!! Great to see you two carving together and shootingvthe breeze.
Love the tree house idea💚🇬🇧🌱
I have always enjoyed the show . Good to see you guys together . It's funny Doug was talking about your carving style. The other day I was watching one of your videos of the little guys , you were doing a cut next to the nose . I was like what the hell was that, I had to watch it a couple of times . lol I always learn something from all your videos. Together or separate you guys have great content .
Day early threw me off. Great show guys.
In the bush sounds Australian to me. I like in the woods.
Hi. Love the podcast. Knew about Doug Linker, but just discovered you through him. Also, How do I buy one of those beautiful mugs for my wife? Thanks

going to have to catch the rest of this later as i'm a busy boy today...
Love these two Canadian fellas!😂🙌 Episode 62 is now my favourite, followed by anything with Ryan Olsen eh🤪🇨🇦 I’ve now ordered a steel whiskey ball to freeze and then pour my coffee over, I’m taking it to the next level🤔 Carving rules all.
We need to see new puppy soon.
Doug!!!! Also candy cigarettes lol. I remember buying those from the grocery store with my parents back in the 80’s. You could blow ‘smoke’ through them too. Ah good times good times.
wow!
We had candy cigs when I was young then I think I’m more linkers age
you all do realize you can still get Helvie knives, don't you? It may take up to a year, but, you can order them...
Don’t get rid of your old carvings. One person told us if you still like what you did last year you haven’t improved. So now you can compare and see how much you have improved
Fun video... but too many ads
Aren't you both from Canada? referring to candy types
