Awesome show. Love it. Sam is a lucky kid Alec to be working with you and be very interested in all you do. I am 70 now and retired. My whole life I hired and taught kids the trades and there was nothing better than teaching someone who is interested in learning. I have a seasonal, full time, job now in retirement as a manager at a ski resort and still love hiring people who want to learn. I tell the kids in High School, be a sponge even if what you do here is not what you will be doing the rest of your life some part of it will be useful. I’ll get off the old man soap box now. Love you guys together, can’t get enough of it. 👍👍👍

This is an awesome comment Larry! Thanks for the encouragement and all you have done teaching young people !
Great show again guys. Funny about the asparagus
Another great episode!
my Dutch father always puts nutmeg, vinegar, sugar and butter on the green beans!
I lived in Nederlands for 9 yrs chip carving is very good for furniture or cabinets or light switches etc
I hope that mine is that good as well!
Thank you for your time to put this out
Alec, I have enjoyed your discussions on the deer carving. I can sense that it is very complex. Sorry that you had to start over a few times. I'm sure you'll hone in on the final. Perhaps you should carve a "token" sausage out of the mistakes.

Thanks Michael! The first try was a bit trying but on a good path now!
Doug, Amazon basswood video... it goes to show, maybe over- thinking your video content. In other words, people like you for YOU. I know, for me, I'm a fan of your personality just as much as your carving skills. 😊
This is a great episode ! Doug’s reflections on parents , death and plate collections are full of wisdom !
Stone carving is great no struggles with grain direction, fewer gouges and chisels. Very eco friendly- no living resources used-

Thank you guys, I enjoyed the time while having my coffee. Another great episode 👍
I totally agree with Alec, that wood video was intriguing. I was super curious about it and i was anticipating the result too! And i have plenty of basswood…
Doug is the craftsman? Is that because he carves when he's camping? lol

Asparagus 😂
I’m working on a gnome village. I know you don’t like requests, however, I’m trying to figure out how to carve a sitting gnome. I need to use a 1x1x?. For example, in a canoe, on a swing, in a tree. I have carved about 90% of your tutorials. Just asking!
I'm tempted to send my daughter phone number and have you talk with her. She's a stranger since her High School days
