I like the Plexi Tone, it has more bottom or a fuller sound. Also, I like this demo because I've been using the Fender SS22. Awsome amp. It's the only amp I ever used that gave me the distortion that sounded good without a pedal. As a matter of fact, with my new band, the only effects I use (no more stage clutter) is the boss space echo clone and a Vox Wha on the floor. the echo stays on the amp for better access and I use the effects loop switch to turn it on and off. Awesome set up. Nice Demo!

I have a Carl Martin Compressor that I bought in the mid 90's and it is still on my board. I wrote a letter to CM asking them a question about it, and the reply I got was quite humorous. The first line was something like "Holy cow, that is an old pedal". I just laughed. Still sounds great. Man that plexitone really is present. Nice guitar work helps. I use a Tech 21 Liverpool, but I may have to cough up the dough for these two. Thanks Brett and say hi ti Sadie.

Hey brett, i learned that the plexitone-s is an active buffered pedal. Does it mean whether its on or off, you signal is buffered?

Sure. The board's geography prioritises convenience for those pedals I need to access often, not the signal path. The signal path is: Guitar - Tuner - AF9 - Empress Comp - Quasar - Blue Note - AC-Tone - PlexiTone - Quantum Leap - VTm5 - Boost D.L.A. So it's Tuner - Autofilter - Phaser - Dirt - Chorus/Flange - (QL) - Tremolo - Delay.

I had this pedal too Brett and returned it. The highs were too high and the lows to low. Although you make every pedal sound good. It didn't work for me.

To the guys below jhs angry charlie is one of my favorites. The brown pig which gets no acknowledgement for some reason. All american jhs and purple plexi 800 no longer available the bogners r just eh.

love the videos but I have to say I tried the plexi tone. Was hoping for a great sounding pedal was extremtely disappointed. It sounded like crap and the store I tried it in (high end store) none of the salesmen liked it either,it was harsh and generally sounded like poop. Too bad ! I've liked other Carl martin pedals not this one though

No LED’s on the plex and AC tone pedals might make it hard to know what’s on and what’s off
