It genuinely is. Compare it to, say, India for God's sake, where every time a foreign batsman hits Hardik Pandya for six the crowd goes pin drop silence, lol. Bring British, I could also be biased, but our crowd is a force for other countries' counterparts to be reckoned with.

actually its not an awesome crowd by miles i have no idea what you are talking about did you literally not hear any booing at all i feel i heard it throughout the whole video its clear the crowd had literally no respect for opposition/ponting great match but is it really true strength of australia when its been depleted by the booing of the crowds? great match but this was nothing short of pathetic could have earned my respect if had won on the strength of crowd cheering rather than on the strength of crowd booing so what you say literally makes no sense and people often diss ponting a lot let me ask u question if you had to give up one player to have ponting in england line which one would it be the question is tough but the answer is simply "literally give up anyone in english line up or any other line up in the world just to have ponting in the side the guy is a legend with many world cup wins he deserves more respect than booing!! if you still dont get it basically what im saying is the crowd was pathetic to say the least. this is straight up bullying! and to this day you continue to defend it

This is why test cricket is amazing. One of the nest cricket memories of all time - 2 blokes who cant bat blocking out for 11 overs - great stuff

Not anymore, they too are now focusing on white ball cricket but white ball approach in test cricket can transform this format, India's Gabba win and then West Indies's 395 chase against Bangladesh have risen hopes for test cricket. Players are now approaching it in a fashion similar to limited over cricket and this is the only thing which can save this format.

Ah. If only England had this grit and determination in Australia. 11.3 overs survived for the last wicket. Now we're lucky if our last 6 wickets survives that long.

The lack of character shown by this England side especially by the senior players is disgraceful. There's hundreds if not thousands of members of the Barmy Army who've spent thousands going Down Under to watch only to see a completely gutless performance. As fans we can accept being beaten by the better team (and credit to Australia for that) but when world class players aren't up for the fight and look like they don't want to be there it's not on.

I still remember watching this live on TV. The goosebumps it gave were incredible. Always enjoyed watching the Ashes.

This was the very first live Ashes Test I watched! I was a young little boy staying up all night watching every ball cheering the Aussies on and I still can’t believe how couldn’t close that test but what a test it was! Haven’t missed an Ashes ball bowled since!! Cmon the mighty Aussies

I listened to this on the radio for the whole of the final day, constantly doing the calculations, runs needed by England vs daylight remaining vs runs needed by Australia. At first I thought they had no hope, but as the day went on I dared to believe. That moment, when, finally, daylight failed. Wow! The most exciting draw in history.
