The best bowler England has had in the last 30 years. From 2003 to 2006 he produced spells that a) got wickets b) terrified batsman to give away their wicket to someone else.

Flintoff engaged full viking beserker mode against Ponting and Kallis. Those two overs still give me goosebumps.
Ashes 2005 is genuinely one of the most thrilling cricket events of all time. It was the first Ashes I followed closely and the atmosphere in the stadiums back then could easily rival the PL's.

I was there at Edgbaston in 2005. One of the most amazing moments of my life. Hugging complete strangers with tears streaming down my face. 🏏🏏🍺🍺
That early 2010-11's england team was something else (another level) ... I miss that team ❤️

Yeah, he was pure class. He transcended petty tribalism (rare for an Aussie in sports) and also knew that when it came to commentary the 'less is more' mantra applied. Miss him so much. Commentators today are so annoying and vapid by comparison.

Flintoff setting up Kallis and picking his wicket is one of the most excellent demonstrations of fast bowling. Undoubtedly one of the best overs bowled in Cricket.

If you actually know the story there was a window reflecting light into Kallis's eyes. He was fuming during that whole over, you can see from his body language that he was not seeing the ball coming at him. And the umpire just did nothing about it
flintoff's overs to ponting and kalis are gems for fast bowling, even absolute greats of the game does not even have clue about single ball, what a player andrew flintoff was

Actually Kallis was struggling to pick his fuller length deliveries because of the sidescreen issues. That’s why he missed the plumb LB delivery by a mile.
I always tear up watching sir alistair cooks final hundred in his last innings.. What an incredible career he had
It's a shame Simon Jones was plagued with injuries, he was an excellent bowler

The early clips are from the golden age of televised cricket in the UK, when Channel 4 had the rights and showed it on terrestrial TV. Amazing memories of bunking out of college to watch the matches 😂😂😂

All the Tests, ODIs, T20's, World Cups, India and Pakistan matches are great... But nothing comparable with Ashes 2005... Just unbelievable... England Cricket Team taken the cricket to another level... Just Fantastic...
Accept it or not bowlers create magic and the interest in the game !!! What beautiful spells !
Lots of these wickets are with an old ball that starts to reverse. It’s such an exciting passage of play when that happens.
No player before and after can reach the mighty majestic class of Andrew Flintoff in the English squad ever. He is the spice we add to our dish that gives it life.

When it comes to test cricket English crowd is the best. In the England tour of Sri Lanka in 2018 , English tourists who visited here filled up the stadiums. They came to watch all three test matches. In 2020, There was this one guy who visited here to watch his team playing but he wasn't allowed to come to the stadium because of COVID - 19 stuff. So he watched the two test matches from the Gall fort.
some of Flintoff's over's are right up there with the best ever bowled.

He could certainly bowl reverse swing. Funny how reverse swing has died off so much. This has happened since sandpaper gate. Ever since cricket Australia punished they’re offenders so severely and now others would have to follow. Shows how far ball tampering had gone.

England side in 2010-12 was something else. They beat India in India and australia in australia. Very few teams can do that.

@SenseOfReality the english side having burns sibley was a rott..had no stokes..only pope root and bairstow..buttler in test is a hit and miss..what else can you have?..this time round crawley..stokes..root the batter..bairstow reinvented..might be some fun ..
England have that knack of unearthing brilliant all rounders Botham Flintoff Broad Stokes and they all brilliant match winners.
Fantastic to watch,no finer sight in cricket than England winning ashes and test matches just awesome,and of course the crowd roars,2005,2009 and 2015 ashes series were fantastic watching
Euphoria. There's no shame in the Aussies getting beaten by this team. They were a cricketing juggernaut. Unstoppable.
Richie Benaud was the voice of cricket .Completely impartial and so knowledgeable. A man who had a stellar career as a player and unrivalled as a commentator.
Here in August 2023. The 2023 Ashes series was full of amazing moments!
The middle wicket in Broad's hat trick remains absolutely hilarious, even now.

The sound it made when Flintoff got Kallis (best cricketer of all time) out was amazing.
The way England fans enjoy the test cricket. Wohhhh I can't even elaborate ❤️
Flintoff's run up and the crowd getting behind him is such an intimidating sight for the batsman, the only other bowler i could remember coming close to him is Mitchell Johnson bowling thunderbolts

I watched that final stand from Stokes and leach to win the ashes, it was one of the best things i have seen in sport, absolutely legendary stuff. True brilliance. I am an Australian and i am a fan of Stokes more than any one current Australian cricketer i can think of.
This clip would have been incomplete without stokes heroics at headingley..... taking nothing away from the crowd... English crowd is just something else 🌟

2005 Ashes Series was incredible. Love the old English Spirit which came back for that Summer
Kallis 45 centuries, Ponting 41 centuries and Flintoff made them look like debutants
