It's possible that many ppl are used to listening to mediocre level singing, by this I mean hearing music that are not challenging to the artist whereas Dimash challenges himself to bring the traditional "art" of music into the mix❤

Adagio was the 6th performance of The Singer competition in China in 2017. A really beautiful song❤️. A song that Lara Fabian (a Belgian-Canadian singer) has already sung and also written the lyrics for. Dimash has always been a great admirer of Lara. But Dimash takes this song to another level. Every time, I see this performance I forget to breathe. The emotions that Dimash sends out with this performance literally hit me physically every time🤯. And you can see that I’m not the only one. This is so emotional because he literally sang for survival as he was almost voted out on the last episode on Uptown Funk. That's why he had to give everything at Adagio. I love his outfit with his blue suit and white shoes. If you watch several videos of him, you will see that he often falls on his knees during many of his performances. So a Dear gave him knee pads as a gift. I don’t think he wore them on stage though. Although he has certainly gotten one or two bruises😂. What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. I think you will appreciate the Bastau version even more if you’ve seen The Singer version before. This song tells a very sad but true story. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It’s really important to know what the song is about. You really have to know why he sings the way he sings. In the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Thank you for your reaction. Just FYI - Dimash did not know much English at that time. He learned to sing the song phonetically. Lara Fabian is the original artist, I believe, and he is a great fan of hers. It was reported that she said she liked his performance. I am sure that meant a lot to him. This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. The Singer only allows top professional vocalists to enter and interview process to get on the TV show is very gruelling. Dimash was a wildcard that was expected to drop out after 1 or 2 rounds.😂😂😂 Winning is more about status. The audience of 500 are the judges. The cover of Floor is in studio so in my opinion is not interesting and has nothing to do with the great,touching,epic,and historic not cover but version of the great master and the one and only Dimash..If and when Floor will sing Adagio live we can talk about it later..I have nothing against Floor because she is a good singer,but sings live and sings in studio are 2 totally different worlds..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

She also couldnt do the belt on the word stay. After Euphoria with the fan on then off then on again and the cape on her shoulders then off then on again you can tell it was faked.

I'm not sure if you find this kind of stuff interesting, but the channel LiLaSi recently made a 3-part mini-series(each part 10-15 min) of Dimash singing acapella, improvising, playing instruments, etc, that I think is really great. She also made an incredible Dimash guide that I also recommend checking out at some point.

🥰💯Totally agree with you about this performance. ✅✅✅Afaik he has only publicly performed with Lara once, during *The Dimash and Lara and Aida Garifullina TRIO* which was WONDERFUL ✅✅✅ *BUT* 😡😡Afaik all the so-called Dimash / Lara *DUETS* are videos made by folk who edit together footage of them. They call them things like "virtual" duets. I personally do not think they're worth reacting to. 😡😡

Actually, there is no duet with Lara Fabian, only a trio (Ti Amo così). There are fake duets out there with Celine Dion and Lara, but as said these are fan made videos. So be careful!
