Totally cool to not like harsh vocals. We like what we like! But I will step on the notion that harsh vocals are "demonic". It's just another way to express emotion. And sometime emotion can be aggressive. There's plenty of Cristian bands out there who's entire discography is praising God but they use this style of vocals. Flyleaf for example.

Charlene you remind me of my mom in lost her in 2018 and I remember first discovering 2pac and getting my mom into him and she was honest with me she said "I didn't realize how smart and wise beyond his years he was I just went off of what I heard in the news about him" but when I actually broke it down for my mom and she found how more of his backstory she instantly became a big 2pac fan and she even had a 2pac ringtone on her phone and she would say "I wonder what people think seeing a middle aged white woman having a 2pac ringtone" I miss her everyday July 6th will be 6 years but seeing your journey with 2pac's music reminds me of my mom

Great and thoughtful reaction! He bared as much emotion into his music as anybody ever. I definitely sense that he resented and was angry at his mother for some of the rough times he had growing up, but as a young adult started to understand, reconcile, and heal from it, and he pours it all out in his music. I think his experiences in the industry also deeply affected him. He was a human paradox, being so wise, caring and insightful on one end, and yet so cruel and self-destructive on the other end. A troubled soul that probably, unfortunately, used his writing/music as his only form of therapy to deal with the conflicts inside. But, the love and admiration he gets today proves it wasn't in vain, it all still serves to inspire. Happy Heavenly Birthday and RIP Tupac! 🙌

Positive and encouraging music always touched me growing up, they were great for reinforcing my sense of right and wrong. Hiphop probably doesn't get enough credit for how often serious issues were addressed in the music, at least back then, J Cole is probably the closest popular modern artist to talk on this level. I don't remember this song as a hit, but 2Pac unfortunately had a volatile side, and had so many negative incidents, it usually overshadowed this side of him, he was seen as an always-in-trouble, toxic personality by a lot of people at the time, by the public and inside the industry, he was loved and hated, so many of his songs like this went under the radar except to the most loyal fans. It's great seeing his legacy live on though, and the kind soul in him be appreciated all these years later.

There's a few of us out there that simply live for these reactions! Watching someone's brain literally glitch when a female singer does gutturals is almost my favorite pastime. It helps to not think of guttural vocals as "demonic" and instead think of them as using different muscles in the throat to sing without phonation. It takes a great deal of practice to not only do it well but do it in a way that doesn't damage the vocal cords. Fortunately, a great way to come around to harsh vocals when they don't quite fit the pallet, is to listen to as much different music with harsh vocals as you can. You'll discover what you like, and what you don't like and let me just say that no one likes all metal music. I'm not a huge fan of djent or deathcore, but thanks to Slaughter to Prevail, I'm coming around to it. Enjoy the rabbit hole for the channel, your subscriber count will thank you for it! :)

I never cared for this kind of singing, or growling. However this vocaliste and this band....... This little miracle of a band changed my perception. Maybe the trick is the very high quality each member brings to the table. A lot of people find this song Pisces one of their weakest, but I think its the pearl in their crown, with its beautiful arrangements, musicality, lyrics ........ I think its one of their best.

One of the Reasons 2Pac Fans Past and Present Gravitate to him and his Music, because 2Pac can take a person out of their state of being and place them in the state of his Storytelling with Raw Emotions, and Visualization . Mama’s Just A Little Girl has so many layers to unpack. I’m 43 years old, My Mom was 16 when she had me.. so I can definitely relate to some of 2Pac’s message in the song . Poetry at its Finest . Beautiful Reaction, well said and done . Thank you.

🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Charlene! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction and subbed, great reaction! It's always fun seeing reactions of people new to Jinjer and no worries if you ultimately decide the growling just isn't for you! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and a mother quoting her four year old wanting to see the "lion lady" again 🤣 All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers (and the next album is over 80% done). Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator. One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official is the studio audio with some great footage from several shows), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Thank you, Charlene! I hope you'll keep trying out more Jinjer songs and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

Go listen to King David songs pleading to god etc then you would understand why the pope pretends to be the chosen man but God spoke through king david blood line which Pac rose from as a panther but he wasn't a nationalist meaning he didn't bang for the colour or race, religion etc he only banged for the principals. See he is coming very soon listen to the song "until the end of time" to understand what that meant meaning ending of time which we are almost in. He is the real pope the new King David who will bring mankind to the next level
