When joe cole was sat on the football, were his feet touching the ground?

I saw Capello in Newcastle when I worked at a hotel there. He was managing Roma and while a lot of footballers used to stay there, and most of Newcastle's opponents did too (I have some stories, including a funny one about Neville Southall), I wasn't used to the way Capello was with his players. Definitely noticed that every single member of the players and staff were wearing either tracksuits or suits. He was like a dad barking orders out to players, telling them where to go, what to do, and whatever else. I don't speak Italian, but believe me, when he spoke, everyone listened like obedient children. Never seen anything like it. Used to see/hear of a lot of things going on at that hotel involving footballers and football teams. Certain (married) football celebrities getting up to all sorts of things. Some with very, very young (but all overage) serving staff. Escorts. Other stuff as well. I won't name names, but even though they were (famously) married, they didn't hide it at all. Would have been late 90s early 2000s.

@@jarraandyftm there's no need mate. Wouldn't help anybody. People I'm talking about don't go on like Billy Big Balls really much nowadays (one, sadly, really can't anyway). If they went on like Gary Lineker or Gary Neville then maybe, but no reason to bring it all up with any detail. Suffice it to say, things happened (more often, honestly, things didn't happen but not for the want of trying). It was a different world back then in many ways but saying that, some of the antics from some of the young players were off the charts. At the hotel, it was only the senior pros I'm talking about. The kind that would get invited to events

We also never had a proper left winger. Joe cole was good but we werent able to really over run teams. We also were very bad at keeping and recycling the ball. Scholes was badly used. That team was good but at the time there were better teams. France, germany, italy and brazil at least, all had better teams at the time. I think the current team is far better.

Ben foster also had a terrible experience with Capello

Capello had us struggling in a group with USA, Slovenia & Algeria. Players hated playing for England at that time. U southgate haters will say anything
