Thanks for addressing the issue. Although this needs more elaboration, cause you excluded info on components & materials that are specifically made for the flammable refrigerants. I would have liked to hear that part explained or added -without giving away technical details about pressure … But since you're the first to address this issue, thumbs up. Thanks.

I have had 2 refrigerators in a row only last 4 years each because of leaking evaporators.

I have been in the home domestic appliances industry for 59 years. In the last 20 years evaporator coils have extremely thin aluminum, evaporator coils have been leaking because of it. Now the greed for is more important than the safety of the consumer. These R600 compressor pump twice as much, increased heat and eventually internal flash point. ISO butane has many non condesibles and impurities. These new refrigerators are stuck in a enclosure. Inadequate air flow causes thermal flash. This is what I believe. The compressor flash point reached, shorting the compressor windings, spark= fire 🔥 This then travels through the low side. Suction line into the liquid in the evaporator, which is explosive 🧨🧨 Just my theory. The non condesibles are the culprit to internal flash. Firecracker in the house 🏡🏡
