Camping Under Bridge
Ойын-сауық
www.campingwithsteve.com
Well, I did a short video of camping out under what turned out to be a very noisy bridge. Cooked a little steak, you know, the usual. I brought some inexpensive gear with me, purchased (of course) at Canadian Tire. A cot, backpacking sleeping bag, small folding stool. Nothing fancy for gear, very similar things are available on amazon but the "Woods" brand I use I've only been able to find in stores in Canada.

Speaking of which... The meal selection could have been optimized. Under a bridge calls for a "stew". The whiskey being able to be poured into the dinner is a bonus. The stew enhances the hunkering. The whiskey under the covers get us the rest of the way there...

I was homeless for several years and camped under a bridge several times. In the beginning I only had a sleeping bag camping under a bridge and waking up in the morning with geese standing at the foot of my sleeping bag. When I got hired by the company I still work for now I lived in a tent under a bridge about 1 mile from work for the first 8 months I worked there. Today I worked my way up from a entry level 2 position to a scale 8 position and now I own my own home with 2.5 acres of land, a newer jeep, and I'm living great

I mean I was a free-range 80s/early 90s kid and we would sometimes just hang out under bridges as part of a bike-riding adventure etc. I always wondered what it would be like to spend a night there. Other place I wanted to spend the night was in a department store/mall after it was closed. It just seemed kind of illicit and fun. Perhaps I was just odd. All the other guys assembling under the bridge trading stories of how they ended up there; Steve's turn: "Wait a second guys while I thank my sponsors for step one"
What a crazy place to camp. Two thumps way up! 👍👍
There was a great bridge in the farm town I grew up in. There were 2 tunnels side by side, about 8 foot high and 8 foot wide and the width of a 2 lane main road with sidewalks. It was for when the dam overflowed, which I only saw once in 30 years. Never slept there but did spend a good bit of time under there. Traffic was minimal, especially at night.
"Bear spray not that I expect there to be a bear problem but I am under a bridge with a bunch of camera gear" priceless.
"thanks for camping with steve" no sir, THANK YOU for camping and taking us along for the ride.

Showing us all a small part of the world, one camping spot at a time. 🥰🤗
I can’t believe you got any sleep there between the cold and the sound. I would need more than a beer!
What a beautiful river you were near
Some classic lines there from Steve : "Everyone dreams of sleeping under a bridge" and "Bridges; nature's shelters." being the first two that spring to mind. Genius !! 👌👍😁
"Got my bear spray... " "Not really worried about bears" "I'm camping underneath a bridge with lots of camera gear"

@ Seth Long, what's with the hole gun thing? Am I the only one who thinks that's to simple? I think we should be caring more knives. A gun is to quick! Stick the blade in and twist so they can REALLY feel it! Or maybe I'm just crazy? Lol 😆
This is one of the funniest videos by Steve to me 😂
Here I am, at midnight, watching a guy sit under a bridge and cook 99 cent mac and cheese. Why? Idk how Steve cracked the code, but this is so entertaining/relaxing.
"There's just too much noise here to get up and feel fresh and go to work." Steves Bridge Accommodation review on TripAdvisor
Haha “Bridges; Nature’s shelter.” I love when bridges grow so healthy and big!
On next week's episode, Steve stealth camps at a 12 step AA meeting. For some reason,, he can't get past step 2. 😉 You have a great knack for taking the mundane and making it fun & entertaining. Ive enjoyed watching your videos over the past few months.
It's so real and refreshing, Steve is awesome, rock on brother 👊 🤙👌😁🍻

The what? Must be some obscure supermarket coupon sheet reporting trivial stories like that. The heavyweight press is all about this improved broadband service coming to Alberta.

That comment just proves that whatever you are thinking, someone else is probably having the same though...
"Or you kids might end up sleeping under a bridge...Down by the river!" Only our boy Steve ! That's a hoot! "I have been looking forward to sleeping down here for a long time!" Ha, ha! Cheers Wallis!
"Everyone's childhood dream is to camp under a bridge" .epic. I'm trying to figure out if that's better than the one about the park being infested with families. I'm going to sub. This is bingeworthy.
This brings new meaning to the term "Hunker down".My name is also Steve and i lived under a bridge for about 3 years.Cool video's and i love how you relate to people by experiencing first hand like in this case how a homeless person would feel.Oh and the worst part is the traffic going by above you.😎👍

Steve’s deadpan sarcasm. It’s better than anything on tv. “ it ain’t sleeping under a bridge unless you’re drinking straight whiskey.”

It was (is?) Bart Simpson's childhood dream! Just watched one recently where he was fantasizing about being a hobo.
Interesting quotations (some of these would be great ads): - “Everyone’s childhood dream is to sleep under a bridge” - “Bridges: nature’s shelter” - Tire’s brand of camping stuff: “it’s not absolute garbage” - “If every bridge in the world was like this, the world would be a perfect place” - “I go camping for convenience” - And, finally, the next day: “It was basically the worst sleep of my life last night”. Loved it ;)

Thank you Steve, for your sacrifice and knowledge. I could tell this was a rough night for you and felt the need to tell you how much we appreciate you. I'm watching this from inside a comfortable yurt dwelling in washington. Your videos deliver so much knowledge and provide so much peace all the same. Much love and peace to you and your tribe. ✨🕯️
