In the case of this before and after tune, it would be cool to see the customer's reaction to the current driveability of the car vs. before.

Hah yeah and that's why Jeff is 100% right in MAP tuning vs MAF and calling it done. Now this owner can drive from Maryland to Colorado and his car will make all the adjustment needed for the various temperature and elevation values.

In the NA LSX realm, there is BOATLOADS more power to be had without boost on that customers car. LS3 stock bottom end setups can make 500-550whp with head/cam packages all day long and still retain street manners. Hell switching to the best bolt ons alone can yeild solid gains. Kooks, SLP, or SW 1 7/8 headers only, ditch that K&N intake and go with AFE or RotoFab, then SLP or Corsa exhaust; with a good cam and tune those mods will get you to 480-500. And if you go to a built shortblock your talking 600-700 easily without forced induction and still retaining 20+ mpg cruising around town with a good tune from someone like yourself. I hate to say it but that's why even as a die hard Mustang guy all of my track toys for the last decade have been LS powered. Before boosting my 376 CID LS3 made 525whp with ported stock LS3 heads, a TSP cam package, and an LME shortblock built for boost. My 427 CID LQ9 based nitrous setup made over 600whp NA with a built shortblock and 260cc PRC heads at a pump gas friendly 11.4:1 CR. Aftermarket LSX small blocks are even nastier, you definitely don't need boost to make power for a street car.

And I'm not talking Dyno queen numbers I'm talking calibrated, corrected real world power. If your on a Dyno where a 2005 Mustang with a bolt on 3v makes 400whp or something like that, I'm not interested in the data from that machine lol.

Thanks! Despite what many people think, Evans Tuning is a very small company. The only two people working in the shop are Jeff and his wife, Andrea. With Jeff tuning several cars a day it leaves essentially zero time for additional work.

While we don't allow clients to be in the dyno bay when the tuning is actually taking place, we don't mind (and actually encourage) our clients being present at the tuning session. The reason for this is two-fold. First, should any questions/issues arise, the client is there and can see what is going on. Secondly, and probably most important, is that after spending a lot of time, money, and effort in putting together a build, why would we want to take the owner of the vehicle away from the most exciting part of that build? Surely, though, if we were wrenching on cars, it would not be fun having an audience.
