Pick Up Limes cooking your recipes. Or recipes in general. Always afraid it would be inedible. I am a new subscriber and new to cooking. Tried out 3 pick up limes recipe. Ate them all. Were very good. Grocery shopping is scary to me since I had to ask many of the grocers what many of the ingredients are. Lost 7 lbs from cooking for myself. Not intentional but feel better about making my own meals.

As a single dad to a fourteen year old daughter, I want to thank you for your videos. You are the strong and POSITIVE female roll model that she always needed in her life. And she absolutely adores you. After years of emotional abuse from her mother, she is deeply wounded and sees you as a beacon of hope. I am here for her everyday with love, patience, and understanding. But you epitomize the woman she needed in her life rather than the one she had. Again, thank you. You mean a lot to my little girl. And she means everything to me.

From one who doesn't have confidence Confidence comes from being comfortable in your own skin. It comes when you 'can' smile like you do. Your smile comes from a place of self-acceptance, from a place of satisfaction of where you are right now, with the hope of where you'll be. Did you work for that smile? Or were you born with it? You smile with your eyes and I bet your heart too. ... Some tears later... Confidence comes when you just be instead of trying to be. Confidence comes when you accept yourself as you are.. as raw as you are. Confidence comes when you realise that one person accepts, acknowledges and appreciates your being. It is heaven if that is person is yourself. ... You're blessed more than you know and I hope you remember that when you're feeling low. Lots of Love) To you and The one who reads it.
1. Be Good at Something--> Confidence 2. Goals--> Chunk down into Steps 3. Realistically Challenging--> Flow State 4. Rewarding--> Look upto Achievements I learnt these from the video. :)
When people compliment me, I usually respond by saying “Thank you for the encouragement!” It’s better than deflecting the praise, and it also acknowledges that I appreciate their words. :) Great video!

Pickup Limes has been such a source of inspiration and positivity for me since 2018. Her videos always seem to come at the right time, filling me with motivation and joy. She truly brings relatable content and adds so much value to life. Whenever I need a boost or feel like I'm lacking certain qualities, her channel is my go-to. Here's to the positive vibes she spreads! I'm usually more of a silent viewer, but I just had to express my appreciation this time. And here I am, finding myself back again on this video because I needed to re-boost my confidence.
I had no confidence as a child, due to the people around me who made it a point to break my confidence. But I worked on myself and now I am confident and love my life. I think that family and friends can make or break your confidence. Thank you for the video.

How did you learn to ignore them or fight against them? I think I'm in a similar situation, and it ruins my life. I rather do nothing than try and fail and further confirm that I am useless. I so helplessly fear failing yet I still know that not trying is a 100% fail.

@@iwua37 I studied the most in my family. I am not a very smart student but when I try I do get by with hard work. I have a good job, and they do not as they just gave more importance to their looks. My confidence was low because I was not the best looking due to my dark colour and they did make it a point to tell me that I am the darkest which indirectly mean not beautiful. Knowledge is power and I got above them and got my confidence by learning things. I would suggest do not be afraid of making mistakes and try to ignore them. Increase your knowledge because knowledge will build up your confidence. Also, I would suggest whenever possible go and volunteer. Volunteering taught me so much and also boasted my confidence. It is a win-win situation because you give and you get ten folds. Good Luck to you.
“The no.1 way to build confidence is to build competence meaning getting really good at something. And the only way of getting good at something is to put in the time; repetition, doing it over and over again and being really subbornly persistent.” YESSS! Thanks Sadia🙌🏼 Love thiiis.
I think confidence is the byproduct of how much a person has worked on himself..... Although there are some exceptions
Confidence and self-esteem are my goals for the future . i hope to improve my confidence and self-esteem I pray to God I will achieve my goals. Amen

I don't know why...But I cried watching this video as I realised that I underestimate myself for years, not knowing that I can be better by starting small. I've burden myself so many times by forcing myself to do things that I'm not good at & neglecting the areas where I'm really good at. Thank u Sadia for waking me up.🌹 Much love from Malaysia 💗💗💗
One thing that works well for me in building up confidence, is to revisit previous projects/work I've done. It is so easy for us to constantly raise the bar for what is the standard, that we overlook how much we have grown. Revisiting old work helps realise, that what we can do today, we may only have dreamed about one year ago. Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing these lovely videos.

I joined university in 2017, with a well laid out plan to pursue Agriculture and really build my competence on it. My plan was to start a blog, but that the far I went, planning (I never did any of this.) ...4 years down, I can pick up myself and resee* this a new. Walking with you and many more on a daily basis ( they are very deliberate) is stirring this up a new. I know better, It's time audible and knowledge inside me gets to reach to more people than just me Thank you Sadia💜.
Also your plants and vines in your studio look heavenly 🥰
„We overestimate what we can do in a day and we underestimate what we can do in a lifetime” - this is going to be my new favourite quote! ❤️🙏🏼
Accomplished list! Not a to-do list! Life changer right there! 🤯
The ability to speak in front of my cohort and not worry about being judged. To get through public speaking in school without having to feel so anxious; like I genuinely cannot breathe. And definitely, to be able to have a good conversation w/ anyone without it being awkward.
I wish you’d put out a video everyday, that’s how much I love your channel 😂
Hi Sadia 😊 I completely agree with this video. The two major points that I can connect are 1. Repeating the same thing again and again to gain confidence with it and 2. When someone accomplishes for something that have done I used to reply like you did earlier but now I started learning to accept it and started feeling more confident now. Also I request you to make a video to overcome Inferiority complex as many faces this issue in some point of time in their life.
confidence = competence + courage + complement + celebration
OMG I can hear you all day long. such a relaxing voice. please keep posting your videos, they are so uplifting
I went through a period at work where I was in a new position at the same company and I was the newest one on the team. Everyone was super nice but I just felt like I'd never be as good as those people, and they all must do the job so easily and I was surely the only one that was struggling. For reference, I work in software deployment for a multinational software company. I work with 6 or 7 clients at a time to set up their software, understand their business needs, etc. A few things that helped me to gain confidence: 1. As Sadia said, just practice helped immensely. Finding answers on my own instead of running to a teammate first gave me a sense of accomplishment. 2. Basically jumping off the deep end and realizing that hey, I'm likeable - my customers like me, and realizing they didn't expect me to have every answer to every off the wall question they had. Learning to be honest and say, "You know what? I'm not 100% sure, but let me research that and get back to you by tomorrow. 3. Honestly, hearing from the more tenured members of the team that they get nervous too. Knowing that I wasn't alone in my pre-meeting jitters, and that they go through the same struggles, helped me. 4. Finally, and probably the biggest one - soon, I wasn't the newest on the team anymore. And I was expected to help the newer team members. Helping to answer their questions and teaching them how to do things made me realize how much I DID know, taking away my usual focus on how much I still didn't know. Not sure if this will help anyone, but I'm happy to say I'm totally over it and feel very confident at work now. 😊 Great video as always.
The bloopers were so cute. I have missed these videos a lot.
I can totally relate to it and attest the fact that "To increase your confidence, you need to improve your competence". I had been struggling in my early months of my first job and with time as I improved my competence, I felt confident with what I do. Beautifully said, Love ❤️🤗
