CeCe’s blog and KZread channel are dedicated to discussing fashion, fitness, dating, and life from a plus-size and body positive perspective.

Tell me about it!!!!
For me it's 1.Exercise ( more is better but also little is better than nothing) 2.Meditate once a day(for me at least 3 min) 3. At the end of the day write what you are thankful for 4. Write down your fears and when they occur and why you think they do 5. Go outside often 6.socialise 7.Only believe the profecies that empower you 8. Do what you are afraid of on a regular basis.

Not sure how to apply these steps to me or if my issue is a perceived obstacle. I just want to be more confident in general. I visualize myself being free of my mind and overthinking so I can be open, friendly, confident and not care what others think. I want to be able to be funny, kind and outspoken to all people I meet. Instead of limiting myself based on how I imagine others perceptions of me. And also not let others comments impact me

Hmmm... where is a good place to find videos that can help you with your confidence and social skills? If only there was a site with free videos where you could get information like "How to overcome anxiety" "How to have great conversations" "How to build your confidence" "How to overcome approach anxiety" "How to ask better questions" "How to learn to dicipher body language" "How to quickly build rapport". If only there was a free video site like that on the web, then you'd have your problem licked in no time!

I (used to ) have the same problem write down what you want Meditate or hypnosis (i fear recommending but this worked for me ) and visualise ( there are videos available on youtube you can use them) gain more knowledge about the pain you suffer see yourself grow.. must be consistent

@@radhasurya9403 hey can you tell me where can I find this videos at?
When she said..." scale before soul" , " looking good before feeling good" that really touched me. It is so sad how we tend to focus on what is expected of us than what we really want.
The line in the beginning “don’t wait on your weight to live the life you want” instantly blew me out of the water, that’s exactly why I haven’t put myself out there and do all the things I dream of. This will be the phrase I tell myself everyday until I stop seeing my weight as a indicator of my worth.

My life would be perfect if I didn’t compare myself to others girls online
@macypwilliams
2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I also used to really struggle with this and I wanted to share what helped me. Everytime I caught my self comparing I would say one of these two (whichever applied): 1. Another girls beauty is not at the expense of my own. 2. Another person success is not at the expense of my own. Repeat it to yourself when you firm yourself comparing. Start to see other women as beautiful individuals not competition.
@coachphil52

try deleting social media that you feel you compare yourself to most for a week and see how you feel! ever since i cut it out of my life i feel i’m happier and carry myself tall and proud of who i am.
Here are the steps she noticed forward confidence: 1- Identify your perceived obstacle 2-Imagine what your life would look like if your obstacle disappeared 3-Address your perceived obstacle 4- Choose to live the life you imagined today Good luck darling ♥️

This is just superb, I have been researching "can an introvert be a good public speaker?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Beyophia Unimaginable Blaster - (do a google search ) ? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to say goodbye to your shyness and anxiety minus the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got excellent success with it.
Excellent!! Your look is fierce!! I focused on what you were saying, you spoke so eloquently about a topic we don't speak about. I also focused on how confidently you stood in front of a group of total strangers. Thank you for this. This is a message for everyone, not just us plus size woman.
I’m happy I found this today! I’ve been battling self confidence for the longest time. Thank you

I absolutely love and agree when she said step four is "Choose to live the life you imagine..today" because currently that's what I've been doing to boost my confidence and let me tell you, after a day of imagining myself as a beautiful plus size girl with a colorful personality, my confidence has gone up a lot. And as for the quote I say to myself is "I choose my own worth, no one else can."

Woo-woo! Go, CeCe! You led the way by example! I especially loved what you said here 8:08 "...We live in a world that values...looking good over feeling good...Embrace health as a practice, not a pants size."
The notion that recognizing and appreciating one's unique strengths contributes to improved self-esteem has inspired me to explore my capabilities and cultivate a more positive self-image.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm struggling with confidence. I can't blame anyone else but myself. It seems like when I get an opportunity or meet new people I destroy it with insecurity. I so badly want to overcome this.
CeCe Olisa!!! So much to say! Absolutely phenomenal. You looked great, you spoke great and you shared great advice! Clear, concise, and packed with great actionable steps! You exuded confidence and humility at the same time:) Your star 🌟 is shining so brightly and I am glad to be a part of your journey. Keisha 👑👑👑

I'm loving these kinds of talks where I can find many ways to love and respect myself and don't think about how people see me or how I have to look to be accepted! I'll do it, I'll break this rope of low self-worth and low confidence, I'm exahusted to think in my body shape every freaking minute and don't enjoy food. Thank you so much CeCe and TED.
That speech was nothing short of amazing. So inspiring!! You gonna make me quit my job girl :-)!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent presentation. And so true " Naija no dey carry last" We are fighters, and do not quit easily. Neither are we easily intimidated. Bring it on! Our souls often exclaims, no matter where in the world we find ourselves.

Saw this video on the side on my screen and was like, "I didn't know Kelly Rowland did a TED talk"
I'm sooo inspired right now. Thank you for sharing your journey CeCe. That speech was amazing. ❤
Well done girl! Many of us struggle with confidence on account of our body size and especially the negative stigma that is attached to being "full" (neither am I saying it's ok to fall way out of your BMI & be threatened with the risks associated)... but some of us will NEVER be skinny... I think social media is injecting loads of pain in us that a woman can only attain happiness/full potential if slim
So much wisdom! Loved this talk👏🏽👏🏽
I cannot tell you how happy and proud I am of you. I started following you when you had just come to NYC, and a lot of life has passed but I would always seek you out, because I felt, like you knew me. You have always been and still are a lighthouse for me, and no I haven't done all of the amazing and awesome things you have, but I know it's possible. Thank you 🤗
