Fun fact about the real Super-dreadnought USS Texas: it was the only US ship at D-Day to hit its targets because while it’s guns were outdated by that time and not powerful enough to hit targets at that range, the captain ordered half the ship’s torpedo protection to be flooded to tilt the ship and increase gun angle just enough to be able to fire beyond maximum range and hit all of its targets. Absolutely legendary and the ship is now a museum ship.

It recently departed it's home at San Jacinto monument for dry dock, or soon will.

Hi, 1. Your drydocks have that issue because after placing them you leveld the ground on the left one (from the sea) but not on the right ones, so that's probably the reason why those have the water clipping through. 2. The Base definately needs some sort of statue or memorial, a lot more placed Mititary vehicles and definately a bunch of aircraft (so an airfield on the island or as a seperate but closeby base). It feels waaaaaay to empty imo. 3. Purely from a security standpoint having a highway go over the base is a gigantic security risk. 4. Did you provide a Firestation and a Hospital? (keep in mind that those need to be huge due to the vast amount of personal on the ships/base and due to the very dangerous materials used by the military. 5. You could also do a military depo next to some industry and place a bunch of Military equipment or vehicles there (like yeah we also build Tanks and/or such) Loved the video, interested to see what comes next ^^

Some things to help with the naval base: 1. That carrier is an Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD). This means that they're not fitted for jets, but for helicopters. Although recently they did start the use of VTOL jets like the F-35 on them, having Blackhawks, Ospreys, and Vipers I think would be more fitting. 2. The USS Texas is more fitting for a memorial area because it is a museum ship after all being over a hundred years old. I think this would make a really cool mini-project near the base or near another port area, but not on the base as it would need to be open to the public. 3. There are two Ticonderoga class ploppables on the Workshop I think would fit in perfectly where the Texas currently is, and fit alot better with the other modern ships. 4. Rest of recommendations covered by Fives.

I was going to add that in my Texas comment that it’s a very old ship predating ww2 even and the real thing is in a museum.

They have Harrier jets on L class ships for years, they don’t normally have blackhawks on them, they use Seahawk. Same type of helo’s but different missions. Also they have CH53’s UH1’s and AH1’s on them. I spent over 15 years on different L Class ship flight decks.

@@ryanparrish8672 Thank you for your service and the info. I was largely basing my reccomendation off of what I saw on the workshop just by typing in "USS" and "US Navy." To be honest CH53's, UH1's, and just the word seahawk slipped my mind, which the mod author provides a link to, but there aren't any harrier plopables that are up to date.

lets have some lore for a airfield or naval base or whatever military related you build So the country that Canalville is in (We'll call it Canaslia) fought a different country called Marshia, at the time the Canalville was a major industrial city, fueling Canaslia's war effort. However Crator Lake was a larger city in Marshia, which was also a major industrial city. So the government of Canaslia ordered Canalville to start building ships. One major ship was called the CRN (Canaslian Royal Navy) Briarwood. It supported a landing in another coastal city known as Clearmon, The Tamper Landings and the Battle for Clearmon were a long, grueling and expensive war. So Crator Lake, fearing being captured, spud up its building process of its naval ships. Then constructing of the IMN (Imperial Marshan Navy) Nougashton. Along with a lot of smaller vessels the IMN Noughaston set out to invade Canaslia, however the fleet of 16 ships met the CRN Briarwood and her fleet, thus began the battle of the Batarsia Strait. It was a fierce battle, with both sides sustaining serious damage and casualties. Despite the damages, the Canaslian side won. Sinking the IMN Nougashtonand its fleet. So the wounded CRN Briarwood almost sailed her way back to the port that Canalville named after the battle. But as the war came to a close. Marshia became more desperate, trying different way to destroy Canaslia and its allies. But it was already too late for Marshia, Canaslia hade made the first ever nuclear bomb. So as the tides of war turned to the allies ( Canaslia, Portsegaio, New Pislky Island and Gergen) side. Canaslia was planning to drop the nuke in one of Marshia major cities and Marshia was giving up hope. But things where about to get worser for the war-torn nation of Marshia. As the designated city for the nuke was... Crator Lake. The unstoppable force unleashed by the weapon of mass destruction flattened what remained of Crator Lake. Giving its iconic Crater. the aftermath of the Great Buskarmich War (1928-1934) was just as worse as the war itself. Crator Lake had to slowly rebuild from its flattened land, Canalville was recovering from the constant attacks of the Marshian Forces. Clearmon recovered from the infernal bombardment and renamed itself Tampere. All three cities has still a mark of that time left on their new facades. And, despite its remarkable victories and brave battles, the CRN Briarwood met her fate. Just out of reach of her home. The CRN Briarwood capsized due to the consuming fire reaching her vital parts.She later sank outside of the Port of Batarsia. However its two smaller ships, CRN Haystock and the CRN Taxen sit at her home, Still Watching at the spot where the Briarwood Sank. Crator Lake suffered over 25,000 casualties, Canalville lost 35,000 civillians and soldiers alike. Tampere lost almost all of its population(13,984). The towering war memorial sits in Crator Lake, Port of Batarsia Stands in Canaville and tampere still has yet to remember its tragic past.

USS Texas, is one of the few ships that Survived the Pearl Harbor attack. USS Missouri, an Iowa class Battleship would've been more appropriate because these Fast battleships along with her Sister ships, Iowa and Wisconsin were outfitted with modern technology, PHALANX Close-Interfaced Weapons Systems and Tomahawk Cruise Missiles during the Cold War and the Persian Gulf War.

By the way there is an actual aircraft carrier asset on the workshop that i think would look good in this build. Btw planes wouldnt go on a ship like that since its made for helis etc. Something I also think would be a fun build for the city is maybe a nuclear power plant? Theres a pack of assets on the workshop for that im pretty sure its called doels nuclear power plant

As an ex corrections officer at a maximum security prison in Texas I only wish we had cat walks…it pretty much was a 3oz can of spray and a case book to write them up 😂😂

Liked this episode a lot ( some officers would love having a prison right there to threaten sailors with ) 1- You would need at least some rail at the dockyard because naval stuff is unbelievably heavy ir a SPY3 radar is over 45 000 lbs , Bofors 57 mm Naval Automatic Gun L/70 over 3100lbs , Mark 41 Vertical Launching System over 33 000 lbs , Trident II ; 1983 · 130,000 lb (59,000 kg). Moving this stuff on trucks is not going to be fun or safe 2- oil tanks for ships , you need a huge amount of oil and jet fuel for naval ships Nimitz class carrier can carry about 50 fighter jets and it can store about 3M gallons of jet fuel. 4- Helicopter pads , frequently the ship dosnt come completely into port and they just fly people to land on choppers 5- RADAR on that hill - you need it - The US Navy had a bad time at a place called Pearl harbour and make a big deal about having good radar coverage over their ports . They are really into radar now !!

Yeah, that would probably be smart. I have some larger dry docks as well. I couldn't really get them to look good thought.

Im Just at the beginning of the vid. But IT would be nice If you flood one of those Land boat caves with water and Put one of those floating ones in it
