It is a beautiful creative space. So cozy and I see a hanging egg chair by the window for when you do want to gaze outside for inspiration. Great job Vildemo, bravo!!

This is absolutely stunning! I'm in love with the color scheme you used. That deep, dark forest green is my favorite green. (I've been thinking of using it in my room, but still somewhat hesitant, I think you convinced me of just going for it now lol). Amazing, great job indeed!

Thank you so much! Yeah, the dark green is a bit scary. It makes the room darker and look smaller. Here in Sweden the trend has been white for many years now. So paint in a dark color is much away from the trend. But I am happy that I did it. I am super happy with it now! I think it will be a good color for your room. It gives a nice forest feeling. 💕

My brain felt this tingeling satisfaction when you opened the paint and it was that forest green color, when you showed the desk, when you packed out the green golden library lamp and when you showed the heavy curtains. PERFECT!

Let's be brutally honest here - what you created is NOT a library. Rather it is a room where the occupant can be transported to whichever realm they care to imagine! The colour scheme just works brilliantly, the combination of the desk, captains chair and lamp are made for each other, you haven't tried to cram too many pieces of furniture into it so there is still a feeling of space. All in I'd say this is a bit of a masterclass in interior design and I am so absolutely jealous!

I'm planning to convert a spare room into a combination studio for bookbinding, calligraphy and an area for my books (I shy away from calling it a library since I tend to read sat in front of the fire in my living room) so am always looking for inspiration and ideas.

Great room! I moved into my house over two years ago, and I'm still trying to decide which of three upstairs bedrooms will become my library/study. This has inspired me to get moving on it.

Thank you! I agree about bookshelfs. One of my teachers said that if there is a room for books but no bookshelf from floor to ceiling than it is just a room with books. A library has books all the way up! Wise lady. 😄
