When I was a child my grandpa read stories he had done. My favorite was "Pojken som aldrig var rädd" ("The Boy Who Was Never Afraid") It scared me and fascinated me at the same time.

John Bauers målningar har gett inspiration till mina målningar av bergstroll, berg, åkrar, vättar och alver. Mycket fin film om han och hans liv.♥️

John returned home to his beloved forest & creatures. It was a sad story but told do well. It was interesting hearing a bit of his life. I remember seeing his art as a child & was drawn in to his fairytale world. I think he will be happy having you in his company & maybe the trolls & fae will come visit you. So enchanting yet haunting there is indeed wonder in forest as a witch I can only understand what he must felt being drawn by nature it was his home and he lived in peace with all the beings that were here magick is as beautiful as dangerous it depends the story telling and the soundtrack were marvelous ! Right now I just want to go outside and feel the magick surrounding the world

The guy 5 minutes in is Brother Martin. He was struggling to convert the trolls to Christianity but the trolls didn't want to. He died of exhaustion in the forests around Bergslagen. I love the illustrations of him so much
