Building a custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for an Infiniti Q50 (part 1)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video, I am outlining the plan and starting the process for a fiberglass corner mount sub enclosure. This is my first attempt at building an enclosure like this so it is a learning process, to say the least.

@@Foxcraze Hi thank you for responding. I own Q50 and I'm building the Q50 and I need something like this. I wanted to know if you can build me two of them for each side for 12" inch subwoofers and I'm willing to pay for delivery.

This was originally done in 2019 so I’m not certain how long it was I made the template using the factory carpet and just cut it the full length of the carpet and trimmed to fit.

No need for the MDF base board, and if you would have used non-stick spray before adding the fibre, it makes the release much easier.

Hopefully after watching the series you will like the result too! Good luck building yours, it’s def a time consuming process but well worth it.

nice work . to save yourself a hassle you could have fiberglass right off the tape and not used a MDF flooring and not had to measure. just make sure you have at least 4 good layers so its stiff. so in a nutshell you could have done the floor of the box and the side at the same

I like explaining what I am doing in videos but sadly It’s a never ending battle when making content for youtube. So many people like so many different things. You will have people say stuff like: no need for all the talking, just put the work to music, put music in during the lapses, play music the whole time. I appreciate everyones feedback though and try to cater my content to everyones liking the best I can.

It’s a 2014 Q50 and isn’t an expensive or special car by any means… I didn’t need to buy anything beyond “entry level” to get better quality over what the factory installed Bose amp and sub produced. That said, I got exactly what I was wanting out of my setup. Thanks for stopping by!
