Building a custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for an Infiniti Q50 (part 2)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is part 2 of the fiberglass enclosure build for my Infiniti Q50. I encountered a couple issues throughout this process but nothing that couldn't be corrected and fixed.

Anthony Pena appreciate it. The process is long and cumbersome especially when you have to break it up into sessions. For me some of those sessions I only had like 30 min before I had to get cleaned up because I had somewhere else to be lol. It is slowly coming along and I hope to finish it soon.

To make the process easier/ faster, next time I will likely glass the bottom as well and addd some extra layers. Then, when doing the face make sure the bottom end had a nice flat area for my flooring to butt up against to help hold it in place.

problem is that you trimmed off the excess material from the top before it was able to set n cure. next time leave it on and dont let the resin get onto the glue as it will eat it and come unstuck. other than that good job def 8 out of 10 so far. will have to watch the next episode. keep em coming/ and staples are best as they dont usually pull up when the glue is wettened

Yeah it was my 1st time, so I learned from my mistakes. I said in the video that I didn’t saturate the fleece enough to allow a good bond on the back side. It all lifted once it dried so I cut it off and put it back together again using the fiberglass chop mat.
