I would say audio architect genius…that probably a little more accurate. With skills like his I guarantee his work isn’t cheap! That was probably a $1k single tweeter install bill.
I love your workmanship. Anyone can fabricate a tweeter mount but to make it look factory takes a lot of skill and knowledge - good work.
4 years later I’m watching your video so I will embark on this task for myself 22 Tacoma. May not be easy as I don’t have the experience but the steps you provided seems like I can come back and watch your vide through my process !!!
You are the Norm Abram of car stereo installs. You have a tool for everything lol. You are very picky which matches well with my O.C.D. You're the best....cheers
I love watching your projects. They aren't quick. They aren't cheap. They are PERFECT. You seem like you should do installs for the rich and famous.
Thanks Mark, I have an 06 IS250 with what seems like the world's smallest sail panel and it's been holding me back from installing my dream system. You and your channel have been educating me for a couple years now and I'm trying to keep that stock look. I'll deny it if anyone asks but🤫 you're the freaking MAN🤜🤛
You do the absolute cleanest installs I've ever seen. So much thought, design and pride goes into your work and it shows. Great channel man! I'm learning a ton!
*As a fabricator you did a really clean and professional looking job....Great work!*
I don't get how anyone could dislike this video. You are a true professional!
You have such a great channel, I love doing things to my truck and watch a lot of how to videos and your videos are so easy to follow. No complaints I can think of.
Mark- thank you so much for this video! You don't know HOW MUCH this video helps me. I put 2.5 inch MX20 Kappa midrange speakers in the kick panels of my same model jeep. I had no clue how I was going permanently mount them and more importantly, blend the finish in. Right know, they are mounted mucky-mouse-style just to hold and angle them where I needed (it's a little bit of an eyesore, but functional). Applying the method used in this video for my midranges will work perfectly for what I needed! I have no 3d printer, but I can cut and use MDF instead. Thank you thank you thank you! Your channel is invaluable to those of us who are able to DIY in our personal installs, but lack experience in CAF. Plus, you saved me a crap-ton of money paying someone else!
This is awesome. This is the first custom panel I've seen of yours that is approachable for the average guy. I don't have a 3d printer but I can find a lot of things that could work. Thanks for sharing.
This is awesome. I had changed component speakers in my previous car, but they fit perfectly behind the factory grills. I love how you used body filler, texture, and painted the trim. I also love the previous video showing how to make the plastic trim speaker panel. Great work. I just need to get my router table and bits.
You do such a great job fabricating. Its always refreshing seeing someone enjoy their craft.
You did a really good job. I am always impressed with your thorough approach and detailed explanations.
Love the work brother. I've been using SEM products for over a decade. They do an excellent job, good to see you working with professional products. I always love it when people ask me "What did you do?" when I finish an install. If you are integrating properly, your work should go almost undetected. Good job!
You have inspired me and opened up new possibilities for my future build. Now I have so much more freedom to choose from a much larger range of speakers and think of new locations to place speakers. Thank you
Never wrote a reaction to a youtube video before but had to write a thank you this time; Thank you! I’m in the middle of building a down firing sub box for my van because of your videos and tweeters in the sail panels are next.
I always appreciate the attention to detail. Keep up the quality of work! Been watching for years.
Looks great! Clean and could pass for OEM and you always makes everything look so easy.
Hey Mark, back on your channel again. There is so much here and I'm always learning and applying new knowledge to my projects. But what you do is so elite and professional. Car audio spent have to be hard but it does require a stack of skills and knowledge. Sp good to watch the pros in action!
Nice work. Very clean. Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together for us all, but you are making me jealous with all your shop space and tools!
I'm also working on installing tweeters right now, I figured id just glue the new tweeters behind the panel but I love how yours turned out so much more. Perhaps it's time to try something new 👍 thanks for the video
Love the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I need to do this for my B5.
Great one-stop shop tutorial for anyone wanting to DIY at home. Thanks Mark!
Never disappointed with your videos, excellent work, and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. 😎✌
, I absolutely love Crutchfield, been dealing with them for decades. their customer service is totally awesome and the best in the business as far as I'm concerned !!!!!!!!!!! you will NOT FIND a BETTER COMPANY anywhere !!!!!!!
Love your work. Your videos have really helped me rethink my builds and start to experiment more. Thank you.
Nice work bro! Don't get no better and the man is putting in some work don't let that short video fool u keep it up u couldn't ask anymore from someone considering the steps u took and the process of it all im giving u mad props
The drilling into for better bond with filler, was a great tip! Thank you Mark! :)
Thanks for the great video! I'm looking to do something similar with my 3rd generation 4Runner sail pods. Very similar setup to this install. Even though I'm an experienced installer, your channel gives me some valuable food for thought. Keep it up man.
Your fabrication skills are truly admirable. It's going to take 4-5 years minimal to even come remotely close to your skills. You can watch your videos a 1000x and still fall flat without trying these processes again and again. Hat's off to you my man... Hat's off!!
Yet another amazing video and final product. They look great and i am sure sound awesome. Great job Mark.
A++ the detail and cleanliness you put into a build is amazing.
His craftsmanship & attention to detail is A-1 👍👍👌👍👍
Looks fantastic, as usual. Really appreciate your excellent build videos. Thanks!
Seems easy enough. Lots of work, which I expect. Especially if u want it done correctly and want it to match properly. Freaking awesome job!!! I have a '99 Taurus Wagon with a decent system. Upgrading the front stage and need to decide if I want my pods firing across the windshield or put them in the sails like u did. Another thing, love all of your videos I have seen. Not as many as I would like to watch, but the ones I have seen have helped tremendously!!!! Thank you!! My buddy recommended your videos!!
You are a true craftsman. I'm learning quite a bit for my own instals.
I've never attempted this type of custom fab because I thought it was too hard or didn't have the tools. You made this look so easy, and I already have a dremel.
Your workmanship is awesome, I'm glad to see someone with that attention to detail. Most people don't try that hard and it shows. Cheers and keep it up

Killer job, I just started watching your videos and now I'm hooked
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I am a novice when it comes to car audio installation and appreciate the expert advice. I can't wait to install my next audio system. I may even give this tweeter sail panel installation a try.
Very nice work. I installed for 19 years and this art form has come a loooong way. All the way back to aperiodic membranes and compression drivers with Q-Forms in the kick panels. Been there and seen a lot of stuff come and go. I am just about to replace the old JL stuff in my 2004 Marauder and wanted to go with components this time for the front stage. Doing A pillar tweeters isn't an option due to gauges being there. Small sail panels like this will facilitate tweeter installation and the ability to adjust the sound stage. Plus they're easily removable and replaceable. It's always lacked height and instrument location definition. From day one I though the sweet spot was aimed more to the rearview mirror. Based on your installation method, I believe I will go for the center of the B-pillars. I might even use a couple magnets and fine tune the aim before I commit to bodywork and a finished product. Thanks a million.
The precision work you do is always excellent.
Looks awesome, great job, you make it look so easy, but I know it's because you are so skilled!
I can't get over how OEM / factory those pods look !
I am impressed with your skills! Would love to do this for a living again!
These videos have been very beneficial for my learning what to do and what not to do. Thank you very much
You are the best channel for anything audio and installing. I have learned so much form you.

Great attention to detail and craftsmanship!
Looks OEM from here, Mark. Super clean! The plastic ring you printed is like gold for this tweeter install.

It definitely helped a ton! As much as I would have liked to just cut something from acrylic it would have been a challenge keeping it so thin. This worked great for making both the permanent piece and the plug. Thanks for being a Patreon member too!
You are always the best when it comes to car audios.....keep going...all the best...
DUUUUDE. nicely done. Looks very good. I've worked with bondo before but that stuff you used looks like it was much easier to work with. Keep up the great work!
Nice work! Love the Focal, definitely picking up a set from Crutchfield
Those factory interior panels are often made from ABS as well; and since you printed the adapter ring from ABS you can solvent weld the two with acetone. 🤔
Beautiful boss. Function AND fashion. Best of both. Rad as always Mark...
Love your channel man! Very informative. Keep em coming!
Excellent work as usual. Impressed and inspired to try my own DIY.
Now i know how to mold my tweeters :D Very good video, Thx for the Video Mark
Also I do appreciate you talking about the products that you use in this video For example the textured paint
Dude they're gorgeous and the metal trim ring looks great
Good quality video 👌. Great editing and you're very thorough.
Mark your work is amazing I'm now a huge fan
Unbelievable work…impeccable!!😊🙌🏻
Amazing work! Really want to try this on my 93 Civic!
Mark, for precise jobs with the Dremel tool I suggest you get the small extension for it. It will make it much easier to handle. My plan is to make rings out of MDF and then turn them into a pod since my REAUDIO XXX tweeters are HUGE! Then make some sort of axle that locks in place for them which will make tuning the sound much easier.
Crutchfield actually had what I needed at a great price
Love this channel and your content. I am learning so much! Thanks!
These look awesome. Thank you for the great video quality
Awesome work my friend. It looks factory!
I added power windows to my S10 pickup, and had a heckuva time trying to get my custom switch panel to blend in. I used wrinkle-finish paint, which didn't match very well. Now that I see another brand, I'll give that a try. Very cool video.
This is what I imagine my work would look like, but I can only imagine 🔥
Appreciate the content. I really like the alignment tool.
Nice. You are a master of this craft.
Thank you soooooo much, for sharing. I really enjoy watching you and your are gifted
Great vid. You've given me the idea and how to for my system upgrade!
Can’t wait to try this so I can end up having to reorder OEM replacements 😂 My guy made that look so easy
Hey Mark, I love this build series. I would like to request, if possible, that you show the actual tuning of the system. The examples of tuning you've done in the past are very helpful, I think you viewers would get a ton out of actually watching you tune the system so we can see the actual settings you choose. I understand every system is different but observation of your choices would be very much appreciated.

Looks outstanding!!!
I'm learning soooo much from this channel! Love it
Nicely done, very informative!
Great vid and the attention to detail is outstanding. My question to you however is for someone like me that doesn't own a 3d printer, do you have any videos that provide a different method?
Hey , I think the video quality is really great! editing was good! great visuals and explanations. Might try it with mine!!

It looks great. Good job.
good work as always. I see why the experts get paid to do this kind of work.
Beautifully Done !! Bravo !!
Your videos are very helpful and informational. Would like to see a little more detail for those that aren't as inclined to do this level of fabrication but again very helpful videos.
