"If Bogey wants me, all he has to do is whistle"--That's a parody of Lauren Bacall's famous line to Bogart from "To Have and Have Not". That's Lauren "Baby" Bacall at the end, and if it's rabbit Baby wants... 😁
This is one of my favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons in fact I love all the classic Looney Tunes cartoons And yes that was Frank Sinatra
Man i love old hollywood in cartoons
The actor with the razor was Gregory Peck. The guy who paid with that typewriter was Ray Milland. That actor who tried drinking from a straw was indeed Frank Sinatra. The fruit head lady was Carmen Miranda. The big man was Sydney Greenstreet.

Throwing a coconut custard pie with whip cream on Humpret Borgat is a death sentence.

I can't believe you've never seen this episode! I've seen this one a number of times as a kid growing up!!! BTW, the big heavyset actor Bugs ran into while trying to get away from Elmer Fudd is Sydney Greenstreet.

Gregory Peck, in character from "Spellbound" (1945), as is Ray Milland in "The Lost Weekend" (1945) {remember when he hocked his typewriter to go on a booze binge?}.
Thank you for doing a reaction video to this cartoon. This one's my favorite Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd cartoon. My favorite gag was Leopold and the Jukebox. A close second is Elmer sharpening his butcher knife to the tune of the song. Can't wait to see more cartoon reaction videos in the future.
1:40- Yes, it's Stokowski. 😆 1:57- Gregory Peck (as seen in "Spellbound"). 2:03- Abbott & Costello. 2:06- Ray Milland (in "The Lost Weekend", he hocked his typewiter to buy booze). 2:17- "Frank Sinatra is *SO* skinny........."
Classic pie in the face.
The voice of Mr. Bogart sounds like the guy who called Elvis a busboy in the movie King Creole

I remember seeing this well before I learned how to read (in the early 60s). My eldest sister (and occasionally, my Dad) would watch with me and answer any questions I had about things that went over my head. I'm not completely certain, but I think the guy who cuts his steak with a straight razor is supposed to be Gregory Peck, but I don't know if the razor was a reference to something in one of his movies or something more topical. The gag with Ray Milland paying his bill with a typewrighter was a reference to the fact that he'r recently published a novel, which was not much of a success. Yes, the very skinny guy who was sucked into his own straw was Frank Sinatra. You might want to check out Lil Tinker (1948, MGM) if you'd like to see a lot more Sinatra gags. "The big guy who Bugs bounces off of at 4:44 is supposed to represent Sidney Greenstreet, He often played the "heavy". He was the main bad guy in the Maltese Falcon. I never stopped appreciating cartoons since my childhood, and this is one of the ones I've seen so many times I almost have it memorized.

Sorry, the Ray Milland reference is about his role in "The lost weekend", where he pawns his typewriter for booze money.

Stokowski had long hair (but never wore it in a snood!). "Chifafa" was a reference to the {Nat} King Cole Trio's 1945 recording of "The Frim Fram Sauce" {"I want the frim fram sauce with the Ausen fay/With chafafa on the side....."}.
