Tex Avery had quite an array of cartoon shorts. Many of them whimsical, slapstick, and outlandish meta humor. But above all, never once did they lose heart. This one with Tinker was adorably hilarious that I remembered well as a kid growing up!
The fox scene was so cute. I don't care if it is a skunk, I'd hug it~

3:30- In the movies at the time, the "Great Lover" was Charles Boyer......and "B.O." does an impression of him. 5:09- As in *SINATRA!* He was VERY thin at the time.
There is more to this cartoon than what meets the eye it literally tells you the secret to finding your soulmate, nowadays people wear a mask and they create a false persona based on something they got out of a book, movie or an online video when the whole time all they needed to be was their true authentic self.

You mean like that cartoon skunk who almost got driven to *K himself* cause being "his true authentic self" clearly didnt worked and progressively went more successful the more he got "disguised" (to the point of litterally changing his own specie) ?!.. Look, im not trying to sound pessimistic or anything here, but if you just wanted to make a point bout some "idealistic" fairytale-like life lesson here, this is clearly not the best place.

@@YMangaka he became more successful alright but he achieved it by being a fraud and it backfired on him terribly, it was him being his true authentic self that got him the girl he was compatible with in the end.

@@GuardianAngel.. that was just incredibly lucky hazard that this last girl was compatible with him. (May she have been a real fox, she wouldve left his real him like the others). But thats beside the point. The point is : from the very beginning, he tried "being himself" and it failed miserably. Ironically, it worked better for him while he was doing *the exact opposite* ! If anything, all of his best attempts failed once he got revealed *for being* himself ! The only way it finally worked is because the last girl was.. pretty much in the same situation (?), I guess (?).. So if there's any lesson to take here, it's.. ...um. Actually, i dont see any actual lesson available here tbh. "Dont try too hard" maybe ?.. "pray you get lucky enough to find someone as desperate as you are" or somethin ??.. ..in any case, if there IS any lesson to be taken here, its *obviously NOT* "be yourself". THAT's for sure.

@@GuardianAngel.. "happened right when he least expected it" AKA *"by pure luck"* ! Once again, what do you think would have happened if that last girl was actually REALLY a fox ? Easy: she wouldve just ran away from his "true self" like every other before ! FS, EVEN THAT LAST GIRL WASNT "BEING HERSELF" !! How would THAT be a lesson for this story just because it ended on a happy conclusion based on the most hazardous coincidence ?! Makes no sense. If it was, the Cupid himself wouldve just been like "hey, show the best part of yourself.." or whatever instead of giving a book filled with tips to win as *someone else* ! It clearly didnt worked for him being himself, it only worked when he WASNT, and all his failures were due to whenever he got revealed AS himself ! Case closed ! You can turn the whole story all the way around as much as you wish, theres NO "be yourself" fairyrtaleish lesson to be taken there. The closest you may get would be "if you're lucky enough, you may find someone as desperate as you but if you dont, JUST LIE !".
Little Johnny Jet and One Cabs Family are my two favorite MGM Tex Avery Cartoons.
"Who Killed Who?" its a murdery comedy mystery cartoon directed by Tex Avery and you'll never believe how it ends!

Probably my personal favourite of Tex Avery's cartoons.
I want a whole collection of Tex Avery
The way that rabbit made her tell into a helicopter was so funny😅😂😂
#INIKAHOLIDAYCHUNG: 3:55 - 4:11/Listen carefully to the skunk when he sings opera by the balcony. You might recognize the singing voice. The actor went by the name Bill Roberts. He was entertaining many celebrities at Hollywood nightclubs during the 40's. He lent his voice to the skunk in this short as an opera singer. You'll probably remember him best for his most famous character a decade later. The WB animated classic ONE FROGGY EVENING. Yup, that opera singing skunk was also MICHIGAN J. FROG! HELLO MY BABY, HELLO MY HONEY! The more you know....
Thats my life in that cartoon
In the scene when the man in black was measuring him; that's an old portrayal of casket makers who would size you up since they had to hand make wooden coffins and wanted to make sure the size was right. You can find a lot of that character type in old westerns.
There's an awesome little cartoon called "The House of Tomorrow" it was directed by Tex Avery is basically what people think in the future was going to be like!

I grew up watching Tex Avery's animations & at 67 yrs now, this still is as funny & charming as ever. *Spoiler alert: Of course it's only right that BO finds his true love even after being dunked (when she is revealed the same as he); but who in the real world would find their true love this way? (Aside: I'm still looking! lol) 💋
Man I remember watching this cartoon on Tex Avery when I was a little kid 😊
(5:33) A reused scream sound effect from Tom & Jerry. Tom always made that sound whenever he’s excited or scared.
❤
I thought the whole frankie thing worked since all the girl bunnies came running towards him.
Anyway, I just love this cartoon so much. But I get the feeling that the female skunk went through a similar ordeal with looking for a mate among male squirrels and rabbits until she finally found B.O. Today, it is rare that cartoonists use "love at first sight" seriously in their works ("Hotel Transsylvania" is maybe the only modern exception to this trend.) It is now often seen as an unrealistic and maybe even unhealthy notion that you will know right away that someone is the right person for you. But I must say that the scenario in this cartoon makes sense. Sure, it is very much possible to make a case that B.O. was "in love with love" and had unrealistic ideas about romance. It is very clear at least that he was really desperate and would have taken any female regardless of her species. However, it is also obvious to me that he became that way because he was painfully lonely and couldn't stand it much longer. So he was only a second away from drinking poison when Cupid stopped him, which is proof of how unhappy he was. The female skunk was yet again most likely in the same situation, so she would have been equally miserable. It is no wonder then that taking it slow and seeing how it went wasn't on their minds. I would say that they couldn't believe their own luck at that point and had nothing to lose...

Romantic relationships are not a beautiful thing. Romance causes a lot of problems in this world. Life is a lot better without romance than it is with it. Romantic love is not special at all, and I think that the romantic type of love isn't real. More than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, And most couples who are still together are usually not happy being together. Also, there are a lot of toxic romantic relationships. Like an example is that abuse happens a lot in romantic relationships.
The joke with a man in top hat that it's an undertaker, who only measured his height for coffin, cause other parametyers are not existent
Thank you 😊
I wonder if Warner Bros. should buy the rights to these skunk characters and have them replace Pepé.
The Cute Little Skunk should have been named Little STINKER. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes its here and man i feel for that skunk...looking for love but the girls cant stand his natural oder.
Kiss of death more like it 3:45
I smiled that the soap was a parody of Libebouy deodorant soap, which popularized using "b. o." for "for body odor". ("B.O." is an initialism, which differs from an acronym in that each letter is pronounced instead of pronouncing the abbreviation as if it were a word.)
Skunks can't possibly be THAT unapproachable, can they? Think of how much the ladies' rejections are hurting the lil' guy's self-esteem
Nice reaction videos, I love cartoons especially tom and Jerry and Oggy and the cockroaches
Man have you ever seen any WWII Loony tunes cartoons...they are politically incorrect and yet hilarious for its time.

Loved the mortician measuring the fake Frank Sinatra for a coffin because he was so unhealthily skinny. Bill Roberts did a decent Frank Sinatra impersonation, I think. Here's ol' blue eyes himself singing that song: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pISeu5SBZZO-f5s.html

I have to point out though that the skunk's name is B.O. (as in "body odor"), not Bo.
do you take requests for reaction videos? if you do, can you do one for the Popeye cartoon "Spree lunch?"
Just like when the girls are going Gaga and wild for Hercules
Pepe Le Pew was created in 1945, but this little guy is so much more vunerable.
