reminds me of how a Chinese car brand in China, top car brand backed by the CCP; one of their cars got into a car accident and the safety measures didn't go off safely. The worst part is in case of an emergency, the car doors get automatically shut off completely so a whole family of 4 gets burnt to death, trapped in their newly purchased car, and the government has to do everything to get people to remove all the evidence, and the people from leaking to the internet. This ain't as crazy as that but it's unironically similar to how they're doing it to protect their brand lol.

I was disappointed to see how far down from the top this comment was. And since it doesn’t have any other comments yet I’m going to take the opportunity to give a long-winded essay about my observations and concerns about this sort of thing, lately. Because I think it’s a real, substantial issue, and worthy of serious conversation. Don’t bother reading if you don’t care, or end up angry about feeling like you’re “part of the problem” after seeing what I have to say”. You’ve been warned! Now to begin: It annoys me that popular channels try to get away with this. And even more so that people buy it. My BS detector went off before I even opened the comment section. But as expected it turned out to be the usual smorgasbord of low intelligence ppl of all shapes and sizes (from being in the style of 55yo Facebook “Greg’s” and “Deborah’s”, to millennial/gen Z edge lords) giving their worthless NPC opinions scolding or condescending Bugatti for the allegation, plus the obligatory dumb, repetitive, predictable jokes, of course… It took me a little bit of searching to confirm it was fake, but Jesus, the way these types of shorts are so rampant across all social media, and how EVERY comment section’s top comments & replies are practically a carbon copy of each other-tailored to the context of the subject matter….. Maybe I shouldn’t care about it so much, but NGL I find it pretty disappointing. IF I felt inclined to make a negative comment toward Bugatti about this, you can bet I’d at least research and confirm it first, no matter how skeptical I was at first. This should be standard procedure for everyone.

Expanding on the subject/pt 2: Misinformation (or disinformation, more likely 🫥. Scary) like this seems innocuous on its own, but it adds up and sets precedent for letting high-profile accounts spread mis/disinformation about things that are a bigger deal than this… Because of this post, tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people now believe Bugatti is a scumbag company that pulled such a preposterously petty move as this… And now they may be a scumbag company independent of this incident, or at least not be particularly upstanding, to a point where they deserve the free contribution of people like me chiming in to directly or indirectly defend their reputation… But that’s neither here nor there. Lying and libeling is never a good habit. And being healthily skeptical is never a bad one. Our mainstream culture is failing in both of these areas. But any hope for change will only work from the bottom, upward. It’s time to make an effort to normalize doing research before putting out judgmental commentary of any kind. And most of all: hold content creators accountable and call their asses out when they participate in the spread of misinformation-let alone disinformation (disingenuous & predatory-no concern for unintended consequences/externalities-all for the sake of $). This account should lose all its credibility and be blacklisted & alienated by all its viewers for putting out such blatant, false ragebait as this… but they won’t; they will keep doing it, growing larger & larger-rinsing and repeating. I don’t get why the mob doesn’t see fact-checking, calling out, and lambasting the content creator as a satisfactory alternative option for channeling their negative energy and conflict-seeking desire. It ain’t that hard! And you’d have practically the same outcome, in terms of them being able to achieve their cancel culture-oriented goals, and being able to put someone on blast-only it would be well-deserved, beneficial to society at large, and otherwise justified.

@@tonykos a couple things. the prestige, believe it or not, people buy things to show off and there really isnt anything wrong with that when youve earnt the money yourself. it inspires people and the sight of them just makes peoples day. i mean, theres a reason why car spotting is so popular. second of all is i hear theyre actually quite nice to drive and really luxurious despite their cars being made to hit top speed records. theres a reason why these cars weigh 2 tons and its interior contributes to that. third of all these cars hold their value quite well so if you want a fast luxurious car that isnt going to depreciate like others then you can look to Bugatti. i dont think i need to mention the fast driving experience.

No its working as intended, his wife did not know how to unlock the door. Its not designed to be unlocked from outside to prevent robbery. If i remember any audi car has this as a option from that time. If this wasnt the case someone could open your doors when stuck in traffic in your hypercar and rob you, this is also really important on wagons since if you have children or goods on your back anybody can quickly rob you.
