Beautiful knife and performs really well. I will say that in a survival situation, I would make wooden wedges and not risk beating on a thinner blade profile.

Starting your own knife co? Far out man, hope I can keep up! Please don't let your vids go down the tubes! I have, and have had many Bucks thru the years... starting with a VN era 120 General to replace a USMC.. back when the 120 was made in 440C and hard as nails.Buch sheathes have never been that great, 's OK since I learned to make my own anyway. DBAD, God Bless and good luck in your endeavour, looking forward to see what you and your co-founder come up with! Like the shape of that particular Buck- since their involvement with TOPS, Buck has made some very interesting blades. Still think they should replace the 420 steel with something else... maybe even return to the 440C... They just havent been the same since Mr Bos retired. JMO, YMMV!!

Very nice! Bucks 420hc is the best 420 in my opinion. I have been thinking about trying to find one of these. Another company that makes a Reaper knife is Hoffman Richter. Its 440c but I would love to see you do a review on that one. I have one but haven't used it at all. They do make a Wolf knife as well that I love and have a user and a backup. I carry the wolf when i mow my lawn.
