Bryan Adams and Tina Turner - It's Only Love
Музыка
Filmed LIVE in Birmingham, England in 1985 for an HBO music special. This duet was originally recorded on Adams's album "Reckless" and released in November the year before.
Song written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
Directed by David Mallet.
IT'S ONLY LOVE
When the feelin' is ended
There ain't no use pretendin'
Don't ya worry it's only love
When your world has been shattered
Ain't nothin' else matters
It ain't over it's only love
And that's all ya
When your heart has been broken
Hard words have been spoken
It ain't easy but it's only love
And if your life ain't worth livin'
And you're ready to give in
Just remember that it's only love
You can live without the aggravation
Ya gotta wanna win ya gotta wanna win
You keep lookin' back in desperation
Over and over and over again
When your world is shattered
Ain't nothin' else matters
It ain't over it's only love
If your life ain't worth livin'
And you're ready to give in
Just remember that it's only love
Yeah, that's all
Yeah it ain't easy baby
But it's only love and that's all

True story. My son and I went to see Bryan Adams in Ottawa a couple of months ago. Before Bryan started singing this legendary song, Bryan said he did this song with Tina and apologized Tina wasn't there to sing this song with him. The crowd went nuts when Bryan started singing this song. A song to always love ❤️. RIP Tina. We will continue to listen to your music.

This track is an absolute belter but there was also great hip-hop music from the 80s. It's subject to opinion I guess.
I just saw Bryan Adams in concert (6/9/'23) at Boston Garden, and he took time to talk about meeting Tina for the first time in Vancouver and expressed his sadness about her passing! Bryan then sang "It's only love" in her honor, and it was phenomenal! I also saw Tina in concert in August of 1987 in Mansfield, MA- and she was amazing and in a stratosphere of her own! Two great titans of Rock and Rolls whose voices will always remain in my head! Grateful to the both of them for unbelievable memories...

Perfectly said as I feel the exact same way. Only my experiences seeing them both Live were in California. Saw Tina at The Greek Theatre in.the 80’s snd Bryan at The Forum. .. and just saw Bryan again at Acrisure Arena, Palm Desert CA 7/28/23. He also took the time to talk about Tina and his legendary experience of meeting and Touring with her before performing “It’s Only Love”. Song became a Worldwide hit and thanks to Tina helped put Bryan on the map and helped Bryan’s career skyrocket into stardom. So grateful they found each other musically and captured such an amazing moment in time singing this song duet. ❤ RIP Tina 🙏🏽

I thought it was great that no one made a big deal about racial differences between them (back in the 60s, Petula Clark was told not to stand too close to Harry Belafonte, but she did anyway. Good on her, too!). The public attitude was: "Wow! They sound fantastic together!" Bryan himself has never made an issue of it, to my knowledge. His response would probably be: "Yeah, so?" if quizzed about it.

Also, she was around 44 years old when she made her comeback. And she did it wearing leather minidresses, denim jacket, stilettos and big 80s hair. Now it doesn't seem like a big deal, but in the early 80s, women over 40 were dressing very matronly.

@@NomadAngie : She dressed hotter than the kids of that time did. She carried it better, and with more class and appeal. I remember a lot of 30 and 40 somethings going for the ONJ look...at least when jogging, aerobicizing, hitting a gym, or throwing a casual backyard party. The rest of the time, it was like they were trying to please their own mothers' sensibilities in married-women's fashion, who incidentally themselves tried to play it down to their mothers.
Still electrifying in 2021!! This is an incredible duet. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Fuffy hairs people singers must have good chemistry lol
The look he gives her at 2:47. The stage could hardly handle these two. WOW

Almost 40 years later and this track is still amazing
