Breathwork For Trauma Release: Heal Yourself With Breathwork (Guided Breathwork For Beginners)

Breathwork is one of the most powerful tools for self-healing… but there are certain things that beginners must keep in mind before trying breathwork for the very first time - especially if you’ve ever experienced trauma in your life.
In this video, I’m going to break it all down for you...
I explain why breathwork can be so powerful in your healing journey, why it’s important to start with certain breathwork patterns (and avoid other ones), I’ll tell you what not to do as a beginner, and I’ll explain the very important breathwork “time threshold” you must keep in mind to avoid unwanted re-traumatization or overwhelm.
I’m a firm believer that Breathwork can work for everyone. But as a beginner, it is crucial to keep these tips in mind and practice responsibility, for the quickest and most powerful healing results.
And in this video, I’ll be guiding you on a quick 1 minute Breathwork session that will teach you the perfect breath pattern to use as a beginner. Let me know below how you feel after practicing it with me!
And make sure to download the Pause Breathwork App so you can have breathwork on-demand and in your back pocket 24/7.
We have short, yet powerful, 3 and 5 minute sessions that are ideal for beginners because they keep you under that meditative threshold. Perfect for beginning your Breathwork journey in a slow and responsible, yet deeply healing, way.

I felt dizzy, but not in a bad way. Since 2015, I've experienced more separate traumas than any human should. Like I would start to get okay, and then something else happened. And these were BIG T traumatic events. I'll do anything to release it at this point. I clearly had my protection up when I did this exercise, so going slowly is the takeaway for me.

This is so helpful. I was wondering why breathwork felt so intense and scary for my body. I'm going to ease in the next few months within that 8 minute threshold. Thank you!

Hi Thank you so much for this intro! It was great! I felt a little dizzy. I'm new to this. Please may I ask? Who trained you? I'm just curious. I'm interested in the lineage of your techniques. Were you trained by Stan Grof? Thanks again. Om shanti

I did heavy breathwork from the first moment for about 30min. After 2 weeks I stopped because I started to feel massive amounts of fear coming from my abandonment wound. After 5 weeks I am still experiencing these attacks. I decided to go to a breathwork therapist in a week.

thanks a lot for sharing. the practice will sometimes bring up a lot of powerful emotions. it's important to listen to your body; you may stop or slow down when it gets overwhelming for you, then continue when you can. it will all get better with practice. 🙂
