Lifting the Dinnie Stones is considered one of the biggest challenges for strength enthusiasts, and walking with them unassisted (without straps) has only been done by a handful of men.
The Dinnie Stones weigh 188kg and 144kg and the longest unassisted and continuous walk to date was completed by Brian Shaw while filming for The History Channel, with a distance of 11 ft 6.5 inches.

I hope that everyone watching can understand how special this is. Loz turns up hoping to lift the Dinnies and maybe take ‘a few steps’, but is egged on by the FIRST man to lift them after they were found by David Webster. All the officials and record holders are there (minus Brian Shaw), the gravel surface is unfavourable, Loz is in a kilt, his children are watching on, and he smashes the record! It’s almost too perfect! Huge congratulations Loz. This is truly inspiring.

The record for carrying the stones in a "farmers walk" style was held by Brian Shaw of the US, a four-time World's Strongest Man, who carried the stones 11 ft 6+1⁄2 in (3.52 m).[11] This was achieved on the 18 April 2019 and featured in the History Channel show The Strongest Man in History.[12][9] The current world record is held by Laurence Shahlaei who on Saturday 7th August 2021 carried the stones 14 ft 10 in (4.52 m). The record attempt was officiated and judged by Brett Nicol, Stevie Shanks and Jan Todd.

I would say yeah I agree, and It absolutely would, but the problem with that is that it takes away from the special thing that is this feat of strength. There's nothing else like this when it comes to strength feats, and I would hate to see the legacy of this be lessened by adding an event specifically replicated from this feat in the Worlds competition. I feel like once athletes start to train specifically for this event, it won't be as big of a feat as it currently is. This is just my opinion of course, take it with a grain of salt :P Just a little food for thought of course!

Congratulations!!!! We’ve been saving so that once the world opens back up my wife and I are coming from the USA so I can attempt to lift the Dinnie Stones. Maybe I need to start training to walk with them too! 😜

In all seriousness though, that was incredible. You should definitely have a go at the bridge and be the first man ever to finish in one. You will truly be remembered as the best farmer's carrier of all time.

@@1605Will I invited him but he said lifting heavy things off the ground is a waste of time and then hung up on me.
