Boz has had a tough couple of years these last few, burned out in one of the Cali. fires (lost about everything in ‘18) and some later health care issues but remains a consummate professional with a unique style. There is no one over these past decades like Boz Scaggs. He’s still touring this year at 77 and still tearing up the house with his incredible voice, musicianship, with the cool, understated elegance of a true Bluesman. He deserves every accolade and professional recognition that hasn’t been bestowed on him-but we who love him and his music know better and appreciate all the joy he’s bought us hardcore fans. A shout out as well to the other members of his band, all of whom are stars in there own right including the fabulous Ms. Mone’t Owens and her “slap happy” colleague, the lovely Barbara Wilson. Thank you all for decades of beautiful memories current and past with more to come.

@@111Phoenix777 You're welcome. More fun facts related to Silk Degrees. Paich, Porcaro and Hungate played on most songs on the album. As stated above, Paich co-wrote some of the songs. Jeff Porcaro states on a video from 1986 that Scaggs paid him and other musicians who worked on that album $30,000 each (= to $160,000 today) as a bonus or "Thank you" for their hard work. Jeff says he used as a down payment to buy his house.

Jeff says he used as a down payment to buy his house.
I love every part of this. Candidly, I keep coming back for a dose of the positivity that the vocalists exude. Love them.
The story telling and beat in this song are so cool that it makes you forget about the ego of the. Writer and performer. Classic
Taped live at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco in 2004. Boz's extraordinary band features the following musicians: Bass: Matt Bissonette; Drums: John Ferraro; Guitar: Drew Zingg; Organ: Jim Cox; Piano: Michael Bluestein; Saxophone: Charles McNeal; Trumpet: Rich Armstrong; Vocals: Monet Owens and babelicious Barbara Wilson.
Boz is too wonderful for words.
Lucky people get to listen to your music at the end of the month in Durham, NC. Like this song so much, Boz...thanks

This is one of the best pop songs ever written.
I remember when Silk Degrees came out. I had never heard of Boz until then. I couldn't believe how anyone could have an entire track list of great songs on one album!

I saw Boz Scaggs in Buffalo's Rich Stadium in 1975. John Miles Band, Boz Scaggs, and 3 hours of Elton John for $15. I don't think those days are coming back. Great concert!

In 1975 I was making $5 an hour as a derrick hand so that was 3 hours working for me then. When I quit the patch derrick hands were making $35 an hour so still working 3 hours gets you a concert ticket :)
I finally had the chance to see Boz Scaggs live at Casino Rama in Canada. He did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the concert. Lido Shuffle is one of my favourite songs of the 70's.
One of the greatest driving rock tracks of the 70's!
Genius, listening to this track since it released. Never gets old.
One of the greatest for sure, coolest dude on the planet for about 50 years
Oh man, this is my teen era. I listened to Cat Stevens, Steely Dan, Doobie brothers, Boz Scags, Bad Company, Joan Jett and the blackhearts... great lyrics. Thanks so much for loading this. Yes, I'm old.

Well, some of us may be physically old but forever young at heart. I'm 72 and play the greatest hits of people like Boz Skags and others and dance around my house like I'm am 18 year old ballerina. Can still move these hips like 50 years ago, LOL! Exercise baby, exercise!
Forty eight years old this year, Lido Shuffle off his 1976 album Silk Degrees. More than stands the test of time. I thought it was Boz Scaggs best song. We were quite young when this was released.

FABULOUS! I think it's better live than the sound recording! And I totally agree. Those backup singers are outstanding! They're having a blast!
Just fantastic all around. If you don't bounce to that wonderful groove then you apparently don't have a pulse. Perfection.

I was a 14yr old ruthlessly teased for my choice in music..."Hey, Younger Me, ya did good with "Silk Degrees" 🎶😎
Boz has definitely gotten better with age...would love to see him in concert.
Boz is one of a kind. Will always love him & this badass song. Long live the King of Cool.
An outstanding & astounding performance of a classic tune. Music doesn't get much better than this!
My mom always loved this song, and I do too.Makes me think of her when I hear it. Awesome!
I was introduced to the music of Boz Scaggs through the tv show Ally Mcbeal, I have loved him since then.
Still digging this in 2023! And still going to see his fantastic live shows. 🎶🎶🎶
Boz Scaggs is one of my all time favourite artists. I'm catching him live this coming week.
Always loved boz music!📀📀📀📀📀💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Saw him in NC last night and the audience got on its feet as soon as this song started and by the time it ended, we were going nuts - it was great. He is a consummate performer.
thoroughly underrated artists they are truly fantastic
Heard this on the radio today for the first time in years, absolute class song
Boz, you are the best...You and your band and backup singers are the very best! Bringing it on in and producing that magnificent sound!
This guy STILL does better work than some of the new "talent" running around today. Boz kicks ass and that's all there is to it.

Boz was hot that night, teamed with some of the best session musicians in the business.
This particular song brings back so many sweet memorys. I just love it. You just can't sitt still when you here the first notes played.
"Silk Degrees" was released 40 years ago today, March 31, 1976. "Lowdown" was the much bigger hit, by "Lido Shuffle" is one baaaaaaaadass song.

What a great song. It's so very human.
Not that every body else in the band isn't, but those girls sure left it all on the stage that night.
Turn up your Hi-Fi High Boz Scaggs is Sublime
This is my all time favorite song ever, It came out and was a Hit when I was a Senior in High School!!! Alot of Great Memories come flooding back when I hear it!!! No other song is as GREAT as this!!!
Boz Sccags for The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame NOW
I love this song and I love how this music is produced by pure professionals and that to me, brings out the best in artistry and creativity!
still sounds absolutely incredible to this day. younger singers should use this gentleman as an example to aspire too. thank you for sharing
Love Bozz...have seen him many times. Thank God when he brings Monet and Barbara with him! That's when he is really at his best..
Time has passed, aging but young in appearance and heart, engaging in the "act" of singing his signature song, The Lido Shuffle. The "act" demonstates that the song lives, albiet in in another older and later conscious. No one sings with such total comitiment like Bos.
Michal McLoughlin This song always reminds me of crossing the Williamsburg Bridge on my way back from Rockaway with Annie & 2 teenage girls who wanted to go to the beach with us. They lived in the same project as Annie. I blasted the radio when this song came on & started singing along with the song. The teenage girls started giggling Annie shushed them & smiled' I was about 25 & felt like I was sitting on top of the world, That was 1976, the music back then tremendous.
I saw Boz Scaggs 2 yrs ago in San Diego and he still got,it🎤🎸🎹🥁🎼Fabulous entertainer and just a cool 😎 dude. Love🥰You ❣️
I've been loving Boz for so long.
Troubled Boys, you have entertained us with 4 classic classics. Well done; thank you. Boz & Steve Miller have proven themselves and their music to be timeless.
