Boxing Techniques - Lomachenko Slips & Diagonals

The most effective boxing techniques are the ones that are simple. The key is to execute the boxing techniques exceptionally well. 90% of the boxing techniques used by the very best boxers are simple, they are just executed with perfection.
This video covers one of the boxing techniques used by the Ukrainian superstar Vasyl Lomachenko.
The first time I saw Lomachenko was in the amateurs about 10 years ago. I was amazed. He did everything. From a technical point of view he was one of the finest boxers I had ever seen. What particularly struck me, and what struck me about many of the Eastern European boxers, was the boxing style and the boxing techniques he used were text book in the execution.
In this video I show you how to merge two boxing techniques - the slip and diagonal movement.
This is all about transfer of effective rotation and excellent transfer of weight.
Work through with discipline and control - slow is smooth and smooth is fast. As with all boxing techniques, this can be instilled to become an automatic response to a situation. Who knows, maybe you will develop to the point of executing like Vasyl Lomachenko!
Cheers
Fran

I subscribed to you because you actually talk. I read many books, always watch videos, train in the am, etc. The only reason I ran into you today was because I recently became obsessed with footwork and diagonals. I spent all day watching your videos, this is the first one I'm actually commenting on because you don't need to apologize to anyone because "you talk too much". Your wisdom is being shared for free. They did not have to leave the comfort of their homes for your education, and as you said in a previous video. Watch videos, it's a different day and age, watch other fighters etc. Well, if you don't like his talking, you can fast forward. Please don't give in to the complainers, they just have short attention spans. I think I can speak for most of us who love the sport and strategies that you are very informative. The way you explain things are better than reading.

Top Drawer…. The talking is spot on. Coaching involves lots of talking to engage the different learners e.g kinaesthetic, etc. Not just the coach but the participants through Q&A Each of these coaching points can be broken down into sections of the sessions. 2 min rounds, 3-4 rounds in between each round add the coaching points and any observations from the group. Top stuff thank you

I've been wanting to join an ABC for the past 2-3 years but I've now got to the point where I'm nearly too old for them to even accept me. Why haven't I joined any even though I'd love to be a coached member of an ABC... because not one of the 3-4 that are near me have instruction like yours Fran, instruction based upon great analytical eyes, deep understanding of the subject and a real desire to teach in the highest quality. I have learnt more in a year of watching your videos and training alone than I ever could've at the ABCs in my city.
