I saw a comment the other day it said “Beterbiev doesn’t just knock his opponents out, he breaks them down piece by piece until there’s nothing left” He’s a bit like Loma and Usyk applying constant pressure but he has the power to end the fight quickly. What loma and usyk do over 10-12 rounds he does it in 3-4

This is wrong the hook is only thrown from the hand you jab with a right-handed fighter throws a left hook a left-handed fighter throws right hook. He's showing a right-handed stance throwing a hook with the right hand when he's really throwing a straight right cross.. talking about a foul punch is false you can throw a punch that way you won't get a warning by a referee in the amateur or the pros a right-handed fighter jabs with his left hand a left-handed fighter jap with his left hand.righth hand fighter has a straight right a left-handed fighter has a straight left. fighter japs with his right throws a right hook from the right hand. Easy way to remember the you hook with the hand you jab with. These British boxers and coaches have an abstract way of explaining

I find way less power results from that insanely high back foot and extreme pivot...that goes far past natural pivot and weight distribution

That constant shifting of weight and pressure reminds me of how Inuoe fights. High risk and exceptional distance management, they are confident of their power and the subtlety is in the delivery. Excellent breakdown , coach. Will try these small adjustments and train.

Are boxers able to slip the way he shows during the heat of an exchange? I'm thinking during the heat of an exchange boxers might not always do their slips so fundamentally. They have to just react with a quick slip sometimes.

James Toney, my all-time favourite fighter. he could do it all. He could counter-punch, he could fight on the inside, he could fight going backwards, he could fight off the ropes and while not acknowledged a lot he he could stalk you down (see the Nunn fight.)

I've been focusing on boxing(striking) for a couple of years now, along with other MMA disciplines, but I have to say your boxing videos have really cleaned up my technique and are the best I've found on KZread for clear, concise fundamentals. We stand more square and less bladed in MMA training to prevent leg kicks, but even still, all the other movements are the same, and it's good to have high-quality videos like this to test the MMA teachings against. Thanks, mate, from one scouser to another! If I ever see you out in town, I'll buy you a pint 😂

I've been boxing a year and a half and not naturally talented so had to work hard to develop my skills as a boxer. I've had 4 white collar fights now under different promotions. They were all without a headguard at 16oz gloves, one of which was 12oz. I lost them all which was disappointing. Two on majority decision and the other two on TKO. I'm at the point now where I don't know whether or not I want to continue. Should I keep going or is it just not meant for me?
