Book of Boba Fett Slave 1 | Toy Conversion
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The Book of Boba Fett has brought back the iconic Slave 1 Firespray Gun Ship. With it, it also brought back the nostalgia I had as a kid for the toy version of that ship. So today we are going to take part in a Toy Conversion of that cherished childhood collectable.

Right!!!! I am in love with oil washes now! You should check out Black Magic Craft's episode on making them. Here is the link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fWefy5OnqqubqrQ.html
I love the boldness to continue 'playing' with the toys of our childhood by doing what we might have done if we had the bank accounts we have as adults. And the continual pursuit of tearing down cardboard walls. I love the creativity and vision of your projects....and the ability to narrate beyond tutorial style and tap into another level of entertainment

LOL, thank you! I didn't actually put rubber cement in the airbrush, but I did use rubber cement. Thanks for watching!
I would have a hard time modifying my toys but I have to admit, that came out amazing! I love it! Great job. I totally understand where you are coming from. There are different type of collectors and each has to do what makes them happy. Again, great job!

Thank you Eddie!
What a beautiful improvement. I love that you're not precious about keeping everything original.
I always modified my toys when I was a kid. That led me into scale molding and scratch building in my teens and early 20's I've lost a lot over the years but I still have some and now I want to pull them out along with my old model builds and rework them and display them. Thanks!!!

Sweet! Can't wait to see what you do!
I got a sense of nostalgia watching this video, I actually still have many of my Hasbro star wars figures and vehicles from the 70's and 80's, all of which show wear and tear from the 'battles' of my childhood imagination. You never grow out of it!
WOW! Yet ANOTHER GREAT BUILD! I've been a Modeler since I was about six or so. Both my dad and my older brother taught me SO MUCH! I'm almost 57 now and THIS is going to be my NEXT PROJECT! I bought a Complete "Slave One" at a rummage sale last Summer for $5.00! But that wasn't the ONLY Star Wars toy I snagged! I also snagged two of the later "X-WINGS" when they made it more accurate for the 3.75" Figs. and a whole BUNCH Of vintage Star Wars figures! I spent about $12.00 and walked away with a HUGE BOX Of stuff! So this was a definite Inspirational Video! Thanks. And My the FORCE Be With You! :D
Awesome. Doing these mods to your toys make it more valuable than mint condition.

Thank you Wayne! Yeah, I debated that for a while, but I like the memories too much.
Let the collectors seethe. Their hoarded mint-in-box versions just went up in value. You however made that piece of plastic look like we always imagined it did when we were kids. Outstanding work.

Thank you! Yeah, it was nerve-racking making the changes, but I'm happy with it!
Honestly I love how you modified slave 1 I think it looks far far better now after you modified it
Ok, I must say.. this video and its narration felt like it described my feelings to a "T".. reminiscent of James' bench build, this drew on the nostalgia of Star Wars and my childhood that reminds me of the absolute joy this franchise has given me. Thank you for keeping that spirit alive.. When I saw that Slave 1 fire spray model and followed along as you dissected the piece I felt at ease knowing you were the one doing this "re-imagining" of that scale model. It was then that I realized we make our own determinations on what gives anything value in this life, there are no set rules or standards.. Thank you for awakening the creator in us all and being the vehicle that has delivered us there.. In other words good build lol

My heart stopped when I saw the dremil disc and bandsaw... then I liked the Boba Refresh you did. Awesome build... no different then painting the kit model. I think you're going to need more juice lids for your collection. 👍🏼

Salt is excellent for the chipping effect also. Wet the panel with a damp paper towel, then flick the salt on. Let it dry, then spray your paint. Let dry. Brush the salt off. Boom.
