I remember George Lucas saying that he didn't realize how popular the character was and that had he known he wouldn't have killed him off like that. Which goes to show how much Lucas was in touch with star wars fans. He said he thought about shooting a scene where fett climbs out of the sarlaac. How cool would it have been in rotj to see the falcon flying out and over the sarlaac and see Boba fett suddenly climbing out. In any case I hope the series will be good.

@@osleem7845 I don't think he ever intended for him to live. I remember him saying he wouldn't have killed him off if he knew how popular he was. It was only after jedi did he realize how much fans liked the character. I liked fett as a villain and he needs to be a villain. I kinda wish they weren't giving so much about the character away. One of the things that made him popular was the mystery around him.

Does it keep you alive in book of boba. That trooper seemed very dead. If boba needed to take oxygen doesn’t that not make sense. I always imagined that it kept you nourished while dissolving you very slowly.

@@darthdarth4297 From what I understand it keeps you alive. It's digestion is so slow that it takes forever to digest anyone. A victim would be alive and feel like their outside was on fire while the sarlaac slowly over time digested them.

There actually was another story where Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc. Lando used two storm troopers, Tag and Bink, to try and distract Boba at the hangar so he could try to rescue Han before he could be delivered to Jabba. This failed, and Boba (holding a grudge against the two for something that happened on Cloud City) tied both Tag and Bink to a pole and kicked them into the Sarlacc Pit, where the pole got stuck in its throat. A few days later, when Luke is rescuing his friends, Boba falls down the Sarlacc Pit. Tag and Bink, having escaped their bindings, catch Boba's jetpack. The three of them got out, and agree to never speak of what happened there.

You forgot the eighth time, where Boba and one of Jabba’s henchmen were playing games inside the Sarlaac pit. While the Sarlaac didn’t mean to be a prick, he needed both of them to get the f*ck out of there, so he burped them back out.

You made Boba fett returning to see the sarlacc a year later seem wholesome, when in reality he used the thrusters of his ship to singe the sarlacc and fly away.

You know what could have been a great running gag in Book of Boba Fett? If they just never addressed how he escaped the Sarlacc at all. I mean, they present every possible version of the story as rumors being told about him throughout the series, but he just never confirms or denies any of them directly. Go the 'Jack Sparrow escapes the island' route with it. Literally present a thousand different possible awesome things he did to escape the monster's belly, ways he did it in Legends, ways he did it in comics, ways he did it in novels, more and more ridiculous, inflated, obviously made-up urban legend level stories of how he got out, which he always reacts to hearing but never confirms or denies. And then, at the end of the series, he finally explains how he actually did it, and it was just "Its mouth is always open. I have a jetpack, and a maintenence kit for that jetpack stored inside its storage compartment. I just repaired my jetpack, and flew out." The whole time.

I wish they did this. But maybe he never explains it at all because it makes him more legendary as "the only man who escaped a Sarlacc, and no one knows how... he's a bad man...".

He never even met Luke again... they should have done his death in episode 8 and not that early... The new trilogy just begun and we already lost one of our childhood heroes... great... fucking... start...

I'll always love the Dark Empire way. It just adds even more mystery to Boba Fett. He's the first being ever to be found "indigestible" by the sarlacc and he refuses to elaborate further and just goes back to hunting down Han.

I think he escaped because the sarlacc and him both have a mother named Martha so the sarlacc allowed him to leave😂😂😂

Omg I’m so sorry plz forgive me. It’s such a dumb motivation for a character. It would have been better if the DC hulk, I can’t remember his name but the giant beast in the Batman vs Superman movie. It would have been better if that was the reason they worked together is that they both can’t kill it alone so they have to work together and see humanity in each other. It’s simple yet effective changes

The mouth you saw in ROTJ was basically just the innermost ring of teeeth. The Sarlacc's mouth is actually a kilometer wide.

Dark Empire will always feel canon to me, and I like how "somewhat indigestible" could act as a reference to literally ANY of the other legends narratives.

Boba and the sarlacc have that special relationship 😏

12:42 I don't think things changed THAT much. There was still Manaroo(Dengar's Fiance/Wife) in both, but there was also the mystery girl in The Mandalorian Armor whose identity comes out later.

Before this scene, everyone was left to their wild imagination thinking about what fate was like inside the Sarlacc - but this scene depicts it as not that bad really compared to all the other KZread videos. So the Sarlacc was alive, did Boba kill it when he escaped due to it seems very still when he comes out the sand...

Ending with Dengar's wedding is best for me! Thanks for this video

Relating to how long Boba was in there for, he was only in there for a day or so at the very most. The armor he wears is not a space suit, and likely has little to no air reserves. The Barge was not yet found by the Jawas and Cobb Vanth got the armor very shortly after the Empire fell, meaning Bob would have had to escape before the empire fell. I'd imagine he woke up about a couple hours after falling in and the rest of the time was him digging his way out.

At this point Boba Fett just has a running joke agreement with the Sarlacc. Someone should make a Sitcom about these 2 “Really? You ate me again?,.. great, now I’m going to be late for dinner” *laugh track plays*

I really love the 3. Way of him escaping it, it describes the struggle of him really well👍

It’s telling in Tales from Jabba’s Palace is probably my favorite. It was the first one I was familiar with and most in depth since the story deals exclusively with his escape.

I can't wait what else The Book Of Boba Fett has to bring us.

Fun fact bobas helmet has a separate o2 tank that can hold 2 hours worth of Oxygen so he had to have been the for longer than 2 hours.

I remember reading the danger story in high school. Good memories.

Ironic plot twist: Boba Fett NEVER escaped the Sarlacc Pit. The Sarlacc simply showed Boba what he wanted to see ..to make him compliant, while digesting him!

There was still smoke coming from Jabba's sail barge so maybe in a week to maybe a month has gone by in the show

That’s what I figured. He was probably inside for maybe a day or two, because I don’t know how long people stay unconscious for. He probably doesn’t even know Han Solo was the one who hit his jet pack.

@@SalvableRuin He had air in his suit, it was just running low by the time he needed the fresh stuff. Or he just wanted FRESH air to clear his head. Also Sarlaacs literally do keep their victims alive.

The series was kinda slow in the first episode but I hope the pace gets faster

First episode had some of the worst Choreography. It's like Robbie Rodriguez has forgotten how to direct action that isn't comedy-schlock.

Boba Fett presumed being dead in sarlacc pit multiple times Boba Fett: I didn't hear no bell !

You have to love how the re-edit gives the sarlack a beak, but in it's gut you still see daylight in these shots. Reminds me more of the pitcher plant trap it was originally compared to the trapdoor spider tap it became later.

The 8th way will be him just showing up and someone commenting “somehow Boba Fett returned”.

I read tales of the bounty hunters as a kid and I love it so much this vid was a nostalgia trip

i really hope they give us something along the lines of the story of Boba and Han on the rooftops of Coruscant with their pistols at each other, not sure if either was out of ammo.... and left you on a cliff hanger.... can't recall which legends book that was... but i would LOVE to see some iteration of that....

I like the stories but I prefer how he escapes in canon because he made it look so much more easier and cooler. I think Boba struggles too much to escape in these comics. In Bobf he just got straight to work and casually burned the walls of flesh and climbed out. But I think the idea to explain his jetpack malfunction is cool and makes somewhat more sense in one of the comics, and its cool that he escaped the sarlacc the same way he got in, by reenacting the jetpack malfunction.

I remember reading ‘A barv like this’ in Tales from Jabba’s palace back in 96. That for me will always be the definitive story of Fett’s escape

Starting with betrayal and ending with being best man. That just shows how much of buddies Dengar and Boba were.

See, this is why Disney decanonized the EU. Because it was so inconsistent, with Boba literally escaping the Sarlacc Pit on 6 different occasions 😂

Most of these are one shots are non canon short stories, not one narrative

Dark Empire is just him making a oneliner. Barve and the Dengar stuff in both Tales of and the Boba trilogy are still the way he got out

After hearing this I think I need to read some Star Wars legends books, the one where he communicates with the sarlaac sounds so interesting

Maybe they can make another Boba Fett show. "Boba Fetts Groundhog day" when he constantly wakes up in the Sarlacc.

Fun fact the storm trooper in the sarlacs stomach is a reference to Star Wars battlefront 1 the original. There’s a map in which the rebels and empire fight it out and the sarlac pit happens to be there.

Where did you find all of this Boba Fett Footage? I don't remember any of it from either Mando, or BoBF. Just curious because it looks well made and I'd like to check it out

sarlaac is by far one of the most interesting beasts in all of the SWU.. i wish we could have seen some up close look at the sail barge wreckage with jabba's dead carcass and bits n pieces of all the other aliens n droids who were on board when it blew 💥💥💥

The 7 boba painful re-emergence chaos emeralds makes him like a bantha

It would be very funny if Boba treated going into the sarlacc as a normal monday, he falls in and says “aw man, back here again” then proceeds to escape

Regardless of supportive media, the rule of filmmaking is that if it is not filmed, it is open to be explored in film as it hasn’t happened.

My favourite one is in Robot Chicken where the Sarlacc Pit just gets fed up with him and spits him out.

There’s also the one from the picture lexicon where he shot lots of blaster bolts till it regurgitated I think.

#7 is the one that is cannon now. But the rest are pretty interesting.

I like how in the Sarlac eats a jedi story the sarlac is basically the grave mind

The Tale of Boba Fett is the best of all these.

Interested in finding out what that footage was that looked like a fan fic production. Otherwise, by your description, a couple of those escapes made not a lot of sense. Felt like they were missing some key details. Usually, what happened to the armor, especially in the Denmark stories and how Boba got it back. Maybe I just need to read them for myself.
