The way Boba suffered inside the Sarlacc and later escaped was much more unsettling and disturbing in the Legends short story called "A Barve like that: The Tale of Boba Fett" in comparation to the Book of Boba Fett's version. First, he lost a leg due to digestive acid from Sarlacc, forcing him later to wear a prosthesis that led to painful tumors. Then, Boba spent days trapped in the wall of the Sarlacc and listening the voices of beings (including an ancient Jedi woman) that many centuries ago had fallen into and become part of the Sarlacc. Boba's fervent desire not to become another victim caused him to finally reach the switch that activated the jetpack and allowed him to escape from that hell.

I always wanted to imagine that Shak-ti didn't die there, on Felucia, but instead hid. She knew nothing would follow her in, and the Sarlaac did sort of preserve its victims, so if she could use the Force to trance, decreasing her requirements for living, and allow the Sarlaac to sustain her body, while also slightly using the Force to sort of persuade it to target other prey first, she could have survived for a long time, and then later escaped when her meditation told her the time was right. Back when I was running Star Wars RPG stuff, this was my plan to have her return into whatever era we were in, if I wanted, as she basically used the creature as an incubator/life support system, and used the Force to stave off the worst effects. Granted, this video shows I would have been wrong in a few things, but I didn't know, and it was a safe bet no one else I was running for dud, either.

Every time I replay the Force Unleashed I find it amusing how little "sense" Shaak Ti's death makes. Starkiller assumes she's dead after throwing herself into the monster and even force energy emanates from it, in a similar way that happened when Palpatine was thrown into the DS 2 reactor; but the truth is that she wouldn't die instantly in it, but instead be consumed for roughly a thousand years. She could have easily escaped.

I dont actually think she would of done that, taking such a huge risk for failure for so little reward that she could of just done by using the force alone in some isolated terrain feature to live way longer than normal, like many force users before her did in the past. Especially since she was the most unlikely type of person as a jedi to actually be that bold. The type of force ability required to survive this would be too much a of leap required even for the most powerful and knowledgable force user, not by being undoable but rather in not knowning everything (or anything) about this hellish pandora box.

@fire actually that thing from jedi: fallen order is an Ibdis Maw a superorganism that lived on the planet Bracca. While resembling a sarlacc from outside, the Ibdis Maw consisted of a number of mouths connected by a vast digestive system located hundreds of meters below the surface of the planet. Bracca's Scrapper Guild fed the Ibdis Maw metal from the wreckage of scrapped starships, causing its mouths to grow to immense sizes. I thought it was a sarlacc at first.

I dont think they are native to Tatooine, but a dry planet in a sparsely populated area would be the best place to thrive as no one would dare go near it. Odds are, Saclacc die quickly because they land in the wrong spot and something more intelligent comes along and puts the wrong thing in its mouth (an explosive), killing the Sarlacc. Only a few Sarlacc probably survive the beginning of adulthood, but when they do, they live a long life. Jabba may be interfering with the Sarlacc biology. By using Sarlacc as an execution chamber, theres probably much more in that stomach than a typical Sarlacc will have, as the Sarlacc is in a sparsely populated area, food rarely comes by but when it does, it could take another 100 years before anything else comes along, but Jabba was likely feeding the Sarlacc quite a bit.

We all have "issues" that we are fully aware of but whether it's fear of embarrassment or ridicule or the thought that we can handle it on our own, we never get the help we need. This started off as a schtick for Jabba the Hut to do the ultimate killing of Luke and with Boba Fett slapstick-comedy dying turned into an epic story arc over the decades with Boba Fett surviving it in an epic struggle and going deeply nerdy in how this beastie can even exist in the Star Wars universe. I'm not hating it. I'm loving it. I'm just curious how long it will take Disney to take this and go Disney on it (abandon canon, one way or another in one degree to another, Disney-twist it) to tick off lifelong Star Wars canon fans and get old and new fans to red-face scream at each other over it. This creature was fleshed out for the most part before Disney acquired Lucas's work and became the highjackers of the Star Wars canon. Disney will Disney this. If they don't, be gratefully and pleasantly surprised.

I saw somebody comment here that the zarlaccs remind them of the flood from the Halo series and I had the exact same idea, if you think about it the Gravemind from Halo 2 does resemble a sarlacc..I wouldn't be surprised if the devs took inspiration from it, because graveminds also dissolve and slowly kill their victims for long periods of time and also feeds off their knowledge..hence the name "Gravemind" look at Captain Keys in Halo CE for example, the proto-gravemind was digging through his thoughts trying to find the location of Earth
