Thanks for a great review of Bob the legend. Bob was also a philosopher philanthropist and prophet

A lot of songs by Bob Marley and The Wailers may have been written in previous times but when you think about the fact that the height of their commercial success spanned over only an eight year period from 1973 to 1981 when Bob died, it's absolutely mindboggling how much quality music with some ridiculously CLASSIC hits that went into production and were released during that time frame. We're talking the albums, "Catch A Fire" "Burnin'" "Natty Dread" "Rastaman Vibration" "Kaya" "Exodus" "Survival" "Uprising" and they had time to drop what I have down as two of the top three greatest live albums ever produced in any genre in "Live" and "Babylon By Bus." Then they still found it in them to record more albums that were released after his death, which are "Confrontation" and "Chances Are" and then the two compilation albums, "Tallkin' Blues" and "Live at The Roxy" WOW!!!! Bob Marley and The Wailers were a collective BEAST!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed your Analysis. I'm Jamaican and as such, I grew up with Reggae and Dancehall Music, playing around me, on the radio, in the sound systems in the neighborhood, at school, family parties, and such. However, once I became a teenager, I really delved into Bob Marley's Music in depth, so his Music is both treasured and kinda taken for granted. I appreciate hearing how his music affected you and what the culture was in this country, regarding his music. Europeans definitely love Bob Marley, and it was in Europe that The Wailers really got Big&Famous. I love that you understand the Message in This Revolutionary Song. It's as relevant today as when it was recorded decades ago. Bless Up.

Thanks for playing the late great Bob Marley. I had the pleasure of seeing him and the Wailers in concert two times, in Chicago--once I believe during his first tour of the USA at a small nightclub called the Quiet Knight in 1975, and then at the Uptown Theater in 1979. It was an amazing experience. He also deserves at least one triple-play Saturday. Take care.

Un-be-lievable!!! You saw Marley - twice?! I am sooo jealous, Frankie. He is one of those performers that, in hindsight, I’d gladly pay hundreds of dollars to see perform just once. He deserves several triple-plays, and I’ll be thrilled to do all of them!

@@timelesspoprocksoul I am trying to remember all the artists I saw in concert. Some were at concert halls and some at small clubs. Most were only one time. But Bob Dylan--8; Tom Waits-3; Bob Marley-2; Muddy Waters-2; Luther Allison-2; Arlo Guthrie-2; Mavis Staples; Van Morrison; Tina Turner; Randy Newman; B.B. King; Albert King; Joan Baez; Stevie Wonder; Minnie Riperton; Dizzie Gillespie; Betty Carter; McCoy Tyner; Bruce Springsteen; Pete Seeger; Richie Havens; Leonard Cohen; Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes; Loudon Wainwright III; and probably a few more that I cannot remember right now.

Way Kool. I'm jealous too, although I was definitely too young, to have the opportunity to attend any Bob Marley concert. Although, having seen Damian Marley perform was Truly EPIC, as he's my Favorite Music Artist, alive. I've also seen Kymani Marley perform, and hopefully can see Stephen Marley perform on his current tour. Bless Up, Music Lovers. 🇯🇲🎼😍🎶👊🏾🇯🇲

The whole Marley family is good. The last concert I attended was five years ago when I saw Mavis Staples. I am in my late 60's now and do not get out much. I never liked bars, so I would go to clubs with live music. I saw many artists at smaller clubs and venues. Live music is always great. Take care. ☮

My good man!! You touched my soul with this reaction! Your approach to the Marley albums created such nostalgia for me! Growing up in Nigeria 🇳🇬, this Rastaman Vibration album was very popular and was well played and enjoyed with such absolute vigour ! But a gentle enlightenment of advice to a most sagacious man such as yourself!! This song was credited to Aston and Carlton Barrett by Bob Marley, his "riddim" section, as a means to get round contractual agreements reached by Bob Marley and some nefarious and unscrupulous record labels at the time! The song was a makeover of an earlier recording in 1970 and previously credited to Bob Marley as "Man to Man"! So in effect, it IS a Bob Marley song and composition! Cheers! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬✌🏾!

Wow. I didn't know about the reasoning behind Giving credit to Carlton and Family Man. There were numerous unscrupulous Producers, who cheated Bob Marley and Almost all of the Jamaican Artists at the time.

What alot of people don’t know is that Bob did write all those songs but he gave credit to different people so they could get paid of the publishing
