It's still going strong, it is at 243k KM now! For the maintance part: - Former owner did the waterpump and lots of upgrades (Bilstein, Alcantara Interior, M3 wishbones etc etc) - I did the valvecover gasket (sweating some oil) - Oil filter housing gasket (leaking oil) - DISA valves for revised part nr from BMW (stronger model with less change of breaking) - Chain tensioner for revised part nr from BMW (stronger tensioner used from 2009) - Spark plugs (2 times) and ignition coils (1 time) - Diff oil replacement - Gear oil replacement - Engine oil changed every 10-12k KM Not all needed I suppose, but it all helps in keeping it on the road for as long as possible!

I had an E82 120i, then got an N55 135i. The 120 was so light up front that it handled like a go kart & I actually prefer it's electric steering.

Wtf that’s so fast for an N/A car 😮😮 I think I may of found my next car that I’ve NEVER heard of!

Sorry for very late reply. The interior trims were wrapped by formed owner. The steering wheel is from BMW Performance. It is the performance steering wheel for 1M/M3 actually, recognisable at the blue marking and 3 colour stitching

Just got myself a 125i cabriolet manual in all black gonna try before summer to get new intake exhaust and remap done try get her nearer the 130i numbers maybe supercharger kit in the future but who knows 😎

The 128i, 130i, & 135i N55 & N54 engine of this era sound incredible due to the lack of OPF filters. True drivers cars with few tech gimmicks. I opted for the N55 because I wanted a reliable 6cyl coupe with over 300hp.

The X28i and X30i, as well as the X25i models all used the N52. As you might know, only the X35i used turbocharged engines. The N55 is a good choice, much better than the N54 is almost every way.

Your review made me buy this car, had it for a few months now and don't regret it. 3.0L I6 N/A RWD Manual with LSD and hydraulic steering in a small light bmw. Does not get much better than this, I love it. Considering there are only 80 of these left in Sweden, it's a very special rare car too. Mine is tuned with speed and rev limiter removed, it goes speedo out and keeps going till the end of 7500rpm in 6th gear. Crazy little car this 🥰

And update 2:, now at 289k km: - Valvetronic sensor faulty, had to do valvecover gasket again because sensor is underneath(ugh) - Installed bigger brakes from E9X 335i with Z4 35is discs (alu center) - Replaced wheel bearings front (loud sound) - Big DISA failed, had to replace - ABS-sensors at rearside both failed within a time/km-span of 30km. That's what I call accuracy 😅 - Replaced VANOS filters --> all clean after 280k - Engine oil changed every 10-12k KM

I traded my 2002 325ti for this car, was a nice upgrade but missed the M54 sound especially between 5500 and 6500 rpm/just before rev limiter. Still regret my 325ti best engine sound I ever had in a bmw.

335i's are shit, people buy them and to tune them and they do run good sometimes but pffff rather buy a early year RS3 over a pos 335i, hence why they cost near to nothing

@@skydriver2639 The LSD is a part inside the differential. And it's an original part from the E92 M3 (it fits) so it technically isn't an aftermarket part. I live in Switzerland where laws concerning modifications are even stricter than Italy and plenty of people have done it here, with no issues whatsoever. If you want to drift thought, get an E36 323ti Compact. Those drift very, very, very easily, especially when stock!

They're basically the same but N53 got direct injection and high pressure fuel pump to improve fuel efficiency theoretically but i've heard that HPFP may be problematic sometimes.

@@iwillnoteatzebugs Id say his shifts are too agressive. Im aware of the fact that more gentle, slower shift would sacrifice acceleration but at least it wouldn't be a torture for the clutch.

Don't think we have a 130i in South Africa. Even with the 2 series we have a 228i but not a 230i.
