This car has so much wasted space, 5 meters in length but sub-par interior space and practicality. would never choose this over a Model S, that truly looks and feels next generation. If i had to choose a thrilling EV i would 100% choose the Ioniq 5N, much more exciting car and better design, the Porsche is so boring looking and all those screens are pointless.

Its a creative good way to go at it ! - much better than the typical EV experience. Its still an EV and its not an ICE.. even with the fakeness over it, its still miles ahead in terms of experience compared to other EVs. Its a fake soul, but.. it reminds you of a soul. so good on them, lets built from this and see what happens.

I have a 2013 mini cooper s. Completely optioned out. It’s been my daily driver for 5 years and now has 243,000 miles. Inevitably I’d like to k swap it with a turbo. But I also contemplate getting a cleaner one to do it with. But I’ve found it extremely hard to to find one that also has a leather dash. Which is a wierd thing to be picky about. But starting out with a car with one has made me hate the regular hard dash that almost every single one has lol

Got that car, but the newest model (F3, the above is 8U) and I freaking love it. R5 is the beast. I've also had common Q3 8U in the past and it was an awesome car for the price.
Real top speed is around 250 km/h only. With 340 horsepower, I expected at least 260.....
Only 285 km/h on GPS.... 7th gear is too long....
They have depreciated so much in the market like all other EV’s, not worth it at all, was looking to buy one but yeah..hope value holds better
I have the same in the same colour. Best option for the money. I can travel with my family going at 240 on the aotuvahn pretty comfortable easily

PDK whichever way you do it it’s faster say around a track , we used to do back to back tests as I was in instructor for Prodrive and PDK was always less effort and faster .

Nice car, but over $200k. For that money, I would buy a slightly used tesla plaid for $80 and save myself over $120. If I had to have a Taycan, I would buy used cause they lose value so fast you could save over $60 on a slightly used one.
Its like a toy. I wish I can afford one. I love it! MSRP before options is already at $160,000 USD . If I trade-in my Camry, I still owe $145,000. I haven't factored options plus tax/lic.

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody here in the comments owns this car? I live in Ireland and inexplicably, BMW have ditched the 520D model, despite it making up the most sales in the Irish market. So, the option is either 520i or phev or ev. I don't want hybrid or ev, so my question is, how do you find it for every day use, and is overtaking on standard country roads an issue? It'll just be me and maybe 1 passenger in the car for most of the journeys. Thank you.

people that still hate electric cars should search for a new hobby, this car is the definition of a perfect daily, you'll never actually need more car than this. you can do whatever you need to do on 1 charge (yes haters, you do not drive more than 670 km on a daily base) and still have fun while doing it. at the end of the day you plug it in at home and in the morning it's fully charged again. i know sound and everything is nice but who cares with a daily
Good review. One thing about the launch control - the power meter should show 66% if the launch control has properly engaged. That requires a hefty press of the brake and the accelerator pedal and makes achieving the claimed 0-100 time easy. I've had mine a month now, it replaced my 2012 Jaguar XFR. After intially missing the sound and involvement of a powerful petrol car, I'm gradually getting used to the qualities of the MG. It accelerates significantly quicker than the 500bhp Jag. And the running costs are incredibly cheap on the EV electricity tariff I'm on in the UK.
