I had an em1 then a RSX type S, both fbo. Loved them so much I had to get an FL5 which really is so nostalgic. It really gives me these vibes, you should try one.

I had a very rusty RSX Type-S which was the USDM diet version of this car. Mine also had the paint flaking on the window trim on the door but unfortunately we didn't get any of the cool Type R bits other than a slightly detuned K20. It's a great chassis for a FWD car and I'd love to drive an ITR someday but I'll never forget the outrageous engine and power delivery.

I loved my Rsx type S. Fbo with ported/polished head and hondata stage 4 ecu. Was as quick as the 02 camaro SS and Firebird ws6. Just got a FL5 and it's amazing, def has that throwback feel of old Hondas.

I honestly have no clue how those K series engines have soooo much N/A potential! That's a huge jump from the stock numbers. Is that just an ECU remap with an exhaust?

250hp is an extremely easy number to hit with a K20, 300 is pretty easily obtainable, 350-400 is when you're putting in some money to wring their necks NA, but once you're at 250-300 NA, that's when you add anywhere from 5-10lbs of boost and you've got a little monster on your hands.... personally, with FWD and VTEC and the way these produce power, a nice k24/K20 Frankenstein build plus a centrifugal supercharger to keep the power feeling NA and just improving the natural sound, it's the perfect combo IMO..... that's unless you AWD swap it, then you can go big turbo because you're not worried about loss of traction, or a roots/screwcharger

Intake, exhaust, tune, higher rev limiter are a good start for reasonable money If you want even more power it gets expensive real quick :)

4 Piston USA offers K24 (up to 2.7) with about 400hp (as a durable race engine, much more possible for 1/4 mile or sprint racing). Price is about 30k I think (common price for a high-power NA race engine)

I think it could cope much better with speed without those lower body parts. FYI, it's usually the vacuum from the back of the vehicle that creates the biggest drag I I love Japanese manufacturing !
Never a big fan of fwd, that tourque steer always killed me, hated it.But i love the type R all generations and also that beautiful v tec engine 🥰

It has to be it's limit of travel. I love the older ones that would keep going! Had a Ford that would turn until it hit the cutout for the steering column 😂

Wat jammer dat al die Honda's zo onsterfelijk duur geworden zijn. FD2, CL7 Euro R, DC5, S2000, allemaal duur nu. :( Heb nu een FC1 die sneller is dan dit, maar de lol van mijn K24 mis ik wel...

These are truly slow….when something revs that high it’s meant for a motorcycle. I love JDM, but it’s all noise and getting nowhere fast.
too much pain with clutch and its not even quick... junk
