The shifter issue is a big problem with CAE on the Focus RS as well, it need constant adjustment to get it to continue working properly, otherwise it comes out of alignment and you "lose" gears as you experienced, pretty cool build and fun lap though!

6:31 That shifting from 3rd going straight to 5th reminds me of Keiichi Tsuchiya's AE86 where he made the 5th gear his 3.5 for closer ratios cuz iirc the 4th gear of an AE86 cant be modified.

This Yaris is like an Angry Tarantula in the corners!! Very Nice Drive Bro!!!
Nice Car and Lap! It sounds like a Tie Fighter at higher speeds ;-)

I remember reading that in Japan one of the famous Evo tuning shops wanted to find the limits of the GR Yaris engine so they tried boosting it way up. They made it to something like 400-450hp and it just wouldn't blow. So they dialed things back a bit then sent Nobuteru Taniguchi to drive the car around Tsukuba where it did a 58.5 second lap pretty much on the first try. See: qFHxA9zW5tk
