Theres some songs I just can't help but cry whether it's sad or happy. His voice has moved me my whole life. I got the change to see the band perform and it was touching. And he shares stories of his life. Deep personal stories that we hear about in song and in interviews. His strengths, his passion, his fallings. I cried everytime he opened his mouth. I'm crying now just thinking about. Blue October has lifted me up and saved me in so many ways.

Not a big deal but I believe "Hate me" was released in 2006 and the song wasn't about himself. The song was about a young lady he owed to debt of gratitude towards. Although I love the new song as much as the first.

I work at the San Antonio zoo, and I was working at the flamingo feeding station when I saw Justin walk by with his family. My breath caught in my throat! I wanted to say hi so bad. But he looked so happy with his family, I was just happy to see him happy. So I didn't say anything. Im so happy to see him smile so much lately. 😊

I love this song and Blue October SO much. In 2020 my son who is an addict and alcoholic came to my home after 8 years of estrangement. He was armed with a 9MM, a shotgun and a knife. He attempted to kill me but fortunately I know martial arts and was able to control the situation. He was arrested. I listened to Hate Me on repeat fir the longest time. Then I discovered the newer stuff and saw the change in Justin and it gives me so much hope that one day my son will be healthy again. I listen to Fear everyday to remind myself to let go of the trauma and fear of the past. THANK YOU so much love to you.

When i was 15 i was listening to hate me all the time.Going through my parents divorce and my mom leaving the house i struggled with depression. Now im 27 married with a daughter...crazy how things change and how songs will take you back to whatever you were feeling at the time.Loved this song.

My mother showed me this man. This beautiful deep creature. Yesterday I decided to start from the beginning, and listen to his first album, and am excited to piece together his life and cry along each album following. Unique individuals can often be difficult to find depending on the person looking and he is just so deep and easy to relate with, it is just a really pure feeling being able to listen and feel. She says she's seen him several times in concert with different family members to share that deep connection with them and cry etc. She told me just yesterday as well that she asked him to say a few words (some of his lyrics) and he was confused at first and then realized it was from a song he had written and giggled. Apparently he is a really nice guy. I can't wait till he visits AZ again for my opportunity to share all those emotions with her and stand in the crowd during it all. He really has gotten me through some dark times. Realizing so many things, and just getting to that selfless state of mind. Egoless. Unbiased. Just pure and raw and organic. This artist is completely special, and I get so excited to share the music with others whom haven't heard them yet. Manifest it all. Thank you for your mind.

My mom got me hooked a few years ago. I’m still a kid but have gone to their concerts. I brought my friend once and Justin got water on everyone, my friend said spit on me Justin 😂 to this day that was one of the few moments that can still make my face light up when I think about it. These are the songs my mom puts on when we’re in the kitchen dancing. These are the songs that bring happiness.

I can cry at an moment's notice when I hear Blue October songs, has been that way for years. Now that's powerful music. I appreciate you sharing your talent and gift with others. You know, I got to meet the whole Blue October band at the Warner’s Theatre in Fresno CA. I did security for them backstage, and man let me tell you, they’re are so awesome, sweet and down to earth. I got to personally shake each individuals hand and they called me by my name “Tristin”... I even got to take a photo with Justin. From seeing Justin with his wife and kids, man.. He loves his kids, he took his son with him to the tour bus to hangout while the other performances where taking place.. It was such an honor to meet Blue October, to take a photo with Justin, and to even get his autograph 🙏❤️

I absolutely love this song and video. All the families, it’s contemporary and so well put together!! Bravo.

This has been my fav video for this song! Wow how fast they are all growing! Blue also has since watching the Covid streams! I wish everyone one of you with happiness and sending love to the whole crew and band! This time of year is tough for so many as the losses we have seen and had of loved ones!

My 14 year old is finally with me. She has been kept from me her entire life, and now I can finally listen to this song with the same feeling and pride. It was a long fight, but she is safe finally. Now to save her sisters.

20 years and still fighting, been going through a lot of shit but hearing this every morning because of my Mom playing it every morning when she gets up and goes to work always makes me happy and tear up.. i love you mom, and i hope things get better

Blue October slipped inside my heart when Calling You became the second of Aric's and my love songs. Aric died in 2012 and I couldn't tolerate listening to your music, not initially. Eventually though, I could, and do. I'm glad I incorporated you back into my listening because if not, I'd miss a whole lot of wonderful music and videos. Videos like this one, filled with beautiful families. 💖
