I wouldn't be surprised if someone didn't put the sponge there to catch debris and it got pushed down into the pipe.

While it was blocked in there that sponge was doing a good job preventing alot of splash back from the jetter. Maybe a new invention idea there lol

no better mentor than a father who loves his trade....and his son. mouseman will be jetting in no time. ive gotten the privilege of teaching my son the ins and outs of concrete and we've been working together for the past 8 yrs straight but off an on for 13yrs. not every day is sunshine and rainbows but i couldnt ask for any better. some sons and dads can work together and some cant. i got lucky.

It takes a while, but you've arrived. Glad it's resolved, I guess. April 25 is National Hug A Plumber Day. I have also taken my boys to a construction site and indeed they were not allowed to go everywhere.

Tile guys who dump their waste down the drain should be held accountable. That's just negligence

I agree, but it appears at least they tried to use that sponge to block grout from going down the drain, but the sponge itself moved down and blocked the pipe.

I’m in construction and have see. Tile guys dump everywhere but where they should . Case and point , I finished a 65 unit apartment building only to start get phone calls about clogged sewer . Turns out the tile guys had dumped grout down the toilets in several of the units . Super smart .
